Very nice experience. The place is very small and every millimeter of the space is used clever way. On the way to WC you can find shelves full with Japanese books. Everything around you teleport you to Japan. Perfect service. Our waitress, very very lovely Japanese woman, helped with Menu and told when to stop ordering - as it will be too much. Prices are quite fine, even low, in comparison with quality which you are getting and general price level of Copenhagen. The Sashimi set was amazing. Fish - very fresh and perfectly sliced. You can see when master cook worked in kitchen. I honestly speaking like Japanese Restaurants very much, when I am traveling, one evening I am definitely spending in Japanese Restaurant. This one I found after one hour of research. But it definitely worth it! Place to be!!!
Ratings are below (1 - worse, 5 - the best): The overall food is perfect - 5/5 (all 5 ordered dishes were perfect!) Service is perfect - 5/5. Atmosphere is perfect - 5/5. Prices of food and drinks are very good - 5/5. Overall - perfect experience.
From this review on I am adding one more Rating to above list - “Quality of food” and changing the way how “The overall food” rating was calculated from now on rating will be based on how many dishes were ordered and how many was bad/good/perfect.

Incredible real japanese restaurant owned by a japanese family since 1998. The interior is incredible, japanese nerdy and cozy at the same time and the food is spectacular. None of those tipical "japanese" all you can eat buffet or sushi places. No, you are served of an actual full japanese menus, something similar to what you could see japanese people at home and characters on movies and anime. We got udon and gyozas, and instead of bringing just a bowl of udon, or 4 measly gyozas and thats it, the menu was accompanied with white rice, salad, fruit for dessert and other complementary sides that change depending of the menu you buy. Apart from that my plate were 8 big and succulent gyozas. They also got a wine bar at the corner called the kitsune bar (we were seated there to eat as its also part of the restaurant) with one of the owners, a super charismatic young girl that serves and explains you in great detail your food and drinks (even non alcoholic ones), which was a great experience thanks to her great conversations :)
Its near the hotels at one of the sides of the central station, so its a great place to go if you visit copenhage. Yeah, its not typical danish food or anything, but its the best japanese restaurant i have ever been outside japan and it closes later than most restaurants in copenhage, so its perfect for visitors from countries were you have dinner at night. It also has great prices for the amount of food you get compared to other places in the city.
Read moreI liked the vibe of the place and the staff were genuinely nice, but I just didn’t enjoy the food. To be fair, that might be because the flavors seem adjusted to align more with Danish tastes, which I personallyl find tend to skew a bit bland.
I ordered the chicken Katsu curry and a side of mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was incredibly underwhelming—no peppercorns, no depth, just bland and flat. They gave me a chili salt to spice it up, which helped, but it felt like a band-aid for a missing foundation.
The curry had decent flavor, but it was already congealing when it hit the table. As I ate, the sauce thickened further and turned gluey when mixed with rice - more like a paste than a curry. The sides (kimchi, tamago, and miso soup) didn’t redeem things. The miso soup in particular was barely seasoned tasting like not enough miso was used for the base broth and oddly used spinach instead of seaweed and there was no tofu in it.
At around 400kr (~€55 / $60 USD) for one person with a beer, it felt overpriced for...
