This place is clearly overrated on Dianping app, but the Google ratings tell a truer story! 🧐 The restaurant had a booth at the local beer festival, selling skewers at 120 DKK for 3 sticks — definitely worthy of a spot on the “World’s Most Expensive Skewers” list! 🍢💸
I wasn’t planning to eat here at all, since many Google reviews mentioned the food being too oily and salty. But my partner had too much to drink at the beer fest and craved a simple bowl of hot noodles… so here we are. 🫣
To be honest, this place isn’t very friendly to meat lovers who don’t eat pork or spicy food — a lot of dishes are off-limits. After reading many reviews, we settled on the non-spicy lamb hotpot.
🫕 Lamb Hotpot Just like other diners said — greasy, fatty, and overly salty. No wonder someone mentioned they could eat three bowls of rice in one go here… because the salt level is insane❗️❗️❗️ The lamb ribs were decent cuts, but too fatty, and combined with the oily base, it became overwhelmingly oily. This is a dish that really should be shared — finishing it solo could be a struggle! 😮💨 No wonder previous reviewers advised against ordering it.
Honestly, both the portion and flavor of this lamb dish fell short compared to the kebab I had at an Indian restaurant the day before.
🍜 Beef Noodle Soup This had a strong MSG taste and a rather thin broth, but compared to the lamb hotpot, it felt much more balanced and digestible — a good cure for drunken hunger.
⚠️ The dining environment is very noisy, with tightly packed tables. Measured noise levels hit 80 decibels, which is loud enough to pose a hearing risk, especially for staff working long hours here!👂🔊
On the bright side, the local girl at the counter was super friendly, spoke multiple languages, and served with a smile. 😊
I’d like to give 0.5 star extra if Google reviews have...
Read moreI had dinner at this restaurant with my girlfriend earlier and we were both absolutely disappointed! First of all, the order. You get a tablet placed at the table to order or so we thought... The language setting on the tablet was only possible in English, Danish and Mandarin. We were also not told whether we had to order through it or otherwise. At some point after 20 minutes the staff came to take the order, at least we knew how to order it... After 2 minutes my main course arrived and was placed on the table without a word. I was excited to see what would happen next... after another 15 minutes our drinks finally arrived and one of the additional 3 small things we ordered arrived in between. After I received my main course half an hour ago, my friend still didn't have her dish. So having a warm meal together was absolutely not possible. The interaction between kitchen and service was an absolute joke. There was absolutely no concept of who was doing what and who was serving which table. I observed that every single guest received an order one after the other at the table, here sometimes a main course, sometimes a side order - it was absolutely chaotic. When the whole room was apparently served, you didn't see anyone from the service anymore. Apparently in this restaurant it's best to think carefully about what you want and order everything including the bill at once!? When we had already finished for about half an hour, I went to the front to get the bill. As described above, the service staff were simply no longer present. The food was okay, but not...
Read moreThey were still busy on a Monday night, which says a lot about them. But why did I book a table one and half hours in advance to inform that two of us wanted to eat at the restaurant but there were no suitable seats?
I understand that you guys are busy. I ordered a total of two dishes, but why was I told 25 minutes after my order that there was no way to make one of them? Did the kitchen have to communicate with the runner when they knew they didn't have enough ingredients? I should have been alerted when I ordered, or told us as soon as possible after my order. It's not okay to tell me after 25 minutes.
After sitting in the restaurant and waiting for 40 minutes, the first dish and rice finally came up. But most/half of that rice was the bottom of the rice. Although the runner said there is new rice on the way, but you give me this rice is to let me eat them. You also know that rice is not given to the customers. I don't mind waiting for 10 more minutes! You can talk to me instead of giving that rice to me directly. I had been waiting with understanding until that rice let me down completely. We had a really bad experience as customer, and at the end there was not a way to fixed it. This is not my first visit to this restaurant and their food is delicious. Unfortunately this was...
