Hotel Hibiscus City — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

The place was incredibly cheap to stay at, which was reflected in the quality of the room. However, the staff were the friendliest and most accommodating people I have met, and they made the stay very welcoming and homely with their warmth. Additionally, the Malaysian food at their Treasure Island restaurant was very tasty and the chef was always willing to chat about his cuisine and allow us to sample his specialities!

Pros: Very close to the center and public transport Very friendly and welcoming staff Very cheap accommodation Very accommodating to specific requests and questions (and moving rooms etc.)

Cons: Not a comfortable place to go out at night, with a lot of homelessness and drinking. Mice in the common areas of the hotel, and cockroaches in the private bathroom.

Notes: Do not stay in their "shared bathroom"accommodation, as the state of the bathroom is criminal (especially the smell)!

I was worried about my stay when I arrived, but had a really good time and...

I suppose in KL you can't get a decent hotel much cheaper than this, and it is a bit pricy for what you get. The hotel and the rooms are okay (I did see one tiny little roach in the bathroom...), but if you need a triple or family room, they don't have windows. In these rooms, the vent in the toilet is out to a small alley, or courtyard, where apparantly people wash themselves. So you get this continuos noise of spilling water, and it does get annoying when you try to sleep.||Double rooms are to the street, so maybe that weird washing noise doesn't come there, but the traffic propably does.||Take earplugs, and use an alarmclock.||The location is nice, it is very close to Chinatown and Little India, and also the Pudu Sentral bus station, from which you can catch the rapid KL...

So confusing to access this hotel because reception counter is inside a restaurant beside the entancd of hotel. Need to key in password to enter this hotel.Provide shower gel only.Curtain look dirty and not neat.No drinking water and housekeeping.Wifi not sure provided or not, the reception not give the password.Room too small.This is a budget hotel...
