JJ Resort and Spa — Hotel in Malay

Pros:|-2min walk to the beach|-warm and friendly staff with smiles|-lovely pool|Lovely room and bed and bathtub(although it was a bit uncomfy)|-the most beautiful beach i have ever seen other than thailand phuket |-bathtub was decorated with two love birds (but no water filled with flower pedals like in their pictures though :( .. it would have been awesome if they filled it up with warm water with some.flower pedals .. it doesn't cost them much too)||Cons:|-2storey resort and our room is at second floor .. the room's door is at the back side of the hotel and the smell was bad(initially i thought it is urine smell, but my bf said it is paint smell though .. but i still think it is urine smell LOL)|But after we go into our room, we don't smell it anymore :) so yeah I just bear with that smell everytime before we quicky open the door and get inside 😅|-the small lane from hotel to the beach is dirty |-only 2 choice for breakfast, taste ok though .. (the staff were friendly :) )|The DVD player in our room was not working .. the staff came to fix it when we call but they cannot actually helped it (but we are ok with it coz we saw them at least they tried their best) |-a big inconvenient if not for couples due to room structures at 2nd storey coz ur partner can actually see u showering unless they are very honest not to look at u .. Location: Location is great since it's in station 2 and super near to d'mall and restaurants.||Room: The room is not clean. For 3nights and 4days we've stayed, there's a lot of ants every morning. Then cockroaches are present at night. Pest are everywhere. We needed to spray multi-insect killer everyday. This is so inconvenient especially we stayed there with our toddler. Everyday we requested to clean our room. The bedsheet, blanket and pillowcases are super old and thin. It looks like there are not washed at all. There's a lot of stains on the sheet. We requested to change the sheet everyday but they told us that they change sheets every other day. The towels are not clean at all also. And they provided small towels only. Like a toddler can only fit on the towels. There's no rugs also on the room. Super hassle especially when you enter the room with wet clothes from the beach.||Service: The lady at the reception is rude and not helpful. The housekeeping staff are very accomodating but we were disappointed when We requested to change the sheet as it has a lot of stains. ||Breakfast: For 4days that we stayed, we were not able to eat the breakfast at they only serve ham or bacon. We're not eating meat so their breakfast is a NO NO to us. There's no choices for bfast, so whatever they served it's up to you.||||This place is not worth your money even on a...

Location: Near the beach and near Dmall and other restaurants. Not difficult to find.||||Service: I initially requested for an early check-in and they accommodated the request. My request for a late check-out was not accommodated though, but that was understandable.||||Food: Breakfast choices were limited to 2 but the food was okay and decent. My friend asked for vinegar but it turned out they had none because, as the waiter said, "koreans doesn't really use/ask for vinegar". It was an answer that turned us off but we didn't make a big deal out of it. Just goes to show that they prefer a particular nationality.||||Room: The reason I booked it is because of the awesome photos of the hotel which I saw online.But upon check-in, lo and behold, it was way different. We stayed at the suite, a loft type unit with a "jacuzzi".||||1. The room was soooo bare all you have is a queen size bed and a bathroom.||2. The jacuzzi was no jacuzzi at all. It was just a heart-shaped tub with a faucet. NO HOT WATER.||3. The tv was located at the lower portion of the loft but how on earth can you enjoy watching when you're left with no choice but to sit on the tiled floor or a wooden seating provision without cushions.||4.
