RESPONSE TO POKE HOUSE'S COMMENT: Question? How did you call us back if you had not received our order from DoorDash? I spoke with you on Wednesday, you told me to use a third party vendor since Poke House was not delivering, and I did exactly that. DoorDash did their job--taking our order and confirming that it was sent to your restaurant--Poke House did not. This order was not for 1-2 people, it was for everyone in our office. Your employee and manager were very unprofessional, and left me in quite a bind. I had 1.5 hours to get lunch delivered and MAD Greens did an outstanding job taking our order and delivering it within an hour ... all done online. Nothing you can do "to make it right," will make it right. My review says it all!
Called on Wednesday to place an order for Friday, for my office. I was told they do not deliver and suggested I use DoorDash. So I created a DoorDash account and placed my order. Since I was not able to add substitutes/instructions online, I called on Thursday and was told to call back on Friday. On Friday morning, a few hours before our order was to be delivered, I called to finalize the order. The guy who answered was not only rude, but said, "They didn't receive our order and do not deliver." I then asked to speak to the manager. The rude guy stated, "The manager is busy." When I asked for his name, he repeated they do not deliver and hung up on me. Seriously? Great way to treat customers Poke House. NOT!!! I called DoorDash and got great customer service...
Read moreUpdate 7/25: What was once a 5 Star restaurant 6 months ago has really taken a nose dive. The sushi quality is now just okay. Miso soup no longer comes with a bowl. The serving size for a nearly $20 large bowl is much smaller than it used to be. When ordering, I felt like I was rushed along and inconveniencing the person creating the bowl. The guys working today are more interested in being on their phones and hanging out in the back. And even though I was the only person in the store on a Friday evening.. the tables and floors are dirty. This used to be the most affordable and high quality poke in Denver with cheerful and upbeat employees. I hope they figure it out again soon
1/25: I enjoyed a "dine in" Poke bowl and miso soup on a Saturday night, and the guys working treated everyone during the hour that I was here like gold. Even after years of eating here, the prices are pretty good, the quality is better/fresher than most anywhere else, and there's always a welcoming atmosphere. Being walking distance from other great breweries, eateries, REI and the river is a plus too. On this occasion the fish didn't look as "fresh off the boat" as I'm used to, but still great. Don't miss this Denver gem as it's always left me...
Read moreI may have found my new poke spot! Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was just how sparkling clean the place was. The tables, soda machine, food display, and even the trash area were all super clean. The employees are clearly working super hard to keep the place in tip top shape.
Speaking of employees, the only thing more impressive and better than the food was the customer service. Daniel and Alan were super helpful, gave great recommendations, and very personable. I would go back just to have another interaction with them. Daniel told me that he normally works at the Centennial location so if you go there make sure to say hi and tip the man what he deserves!
The food was great. The fish, vegetables, and rice all tasted fresh and well-blended together. For those that have had bad poke before know what I mean when I say that everything blending together well is important. The guava lemonade is one of the best-tasting lemonades I’ve ever had. Pricing was fair and similar to other poke spots.
I can’t wait until I go back and get...
