Alright, buckle up, kiddos! Dad's about to serve up a hot slice of review for the one and only Slice Pizza Bakery in good ol' Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Now, let me tell ya, this place is as American as baseball and apple pie – except we're talkin' pizza pie here, folks!
First off, the location is just perfect. Tucked away in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, it's like finding a treasure chest, but instead of gold, it's filled with cheesy, saucy goodness. And speaking of cheese, let's talk about the pizza. It's like the Statue of Liberty herself made it – it's that monumental. The crust? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just like my favorite recliner. And the toppings? Fresh as the morning dew on the front lawn.
Now, I know what you're thinking, "But Dad, what about the size?" Let me put it this way: the slices are so huge, you might need to call in reinforcements to help you finish. It's like they took the American dream and baked it into a pizza – it's that satisfying.
The atmosphere? It's as cozy as a pair of socks on Christmas morning. With a side of arcade games, it's a blast from the past that'll have you feeling like a kid again. And the staff? Friendlier than a neighbor lending you a lawnmower. They treat you like family, and not the kind you avoid at reunions.
Now, no place is perfect – sometimes the wait can be longer than a Sunday sermon, but trust me, it's worth it. It's the kind of wait that builds character, and appetite!
Slice Pizza Bakery is a slice of heaven right here in Gatlinburg. It's the go-to spot after a long day of moonshine tastin' and mountain explorin'. So, next time you're in town, swing by Slice Pizza Bakery. Tell 'em Dad sent ya – they won't know who that is, but it's worth a shot!
And remember, folks, in the end, it's not just about the pizza, it's about the memories you make while eatin' it. So, here's to good food, good times, and great pizza. Slice Pizza Bakery, you've stolen a pizza...

Special Note: We have been coming to Gatlinburg for YEARS, and this is always a priority stop. While the pizza is always delicious, I wanted to point out that we have NEVER had as good of customer service as we have had this week during our stay. The 2 employees working multiple nights - Jimmy & Brittini gave exceptional customer service! They greeted us immediately upon entering, they were fast and friendly. Customer service with a smile is rare these days!
MOST IMPORTANTLY- we have 2 kids, and 1 of these huge slices is more than enough for them to share. Brittini offered to cut the slices for us, to make sharing easier. I know to some, this is meaningless - but with kids, this made all the difference and sure beats the heck out of trying to cut it with a plastic fork or knife. In 11 years coming here, we have never had anyone offer to do this.
Jimmy was super nice at checkout and took time to show us the extra beer selection behind the counter in the large cooler, since we didn’t see anything we wanted in the display cooler. He even acknowledged our kids and told them to enjoy their pizza also!
The next night we came back in, and they both remembered us! Offering a quick wave and told us it was good to see us again.
These 2 made our visit awesome! They definitely deserve some higher up recognition from their management for the customer service they gave. Way to go Jimmy & Brittini. We hope to see you again over the years...
Read moreOrdered a Supreme pizza,(4 or 5 employees working that night, steady not busy) 20 minutes later, the cook came up and told me it would be a little longer because the ran out of sausage. said it would be about 12 minutes longer. He could give me some chicken fingers while I waited. I declined. 20 minutes later I asked how much longer. He said it was almost done. After an hour of waiting. They served a Supreme to someone else who got there way after me. They were walking to the counter with another Supreme....which was not mine. I showed my recipe to the cashier, she has an embarrassed look on her face and walked around the corner. She can back and said it was almost done, how much longer I asked, "it's coming out right now". Cook brought it out and hurriedly walked away. It was a obviously a pepperoni pizza with raw veggies and sausage thrown on top after it was cooked. I didn't care i was starving. It sucked. sausage was still cold, no flavor, dough still raw, veggies had not been cooked AT ALL. Walked back to the counter, while waiting I saw: a cook eating in the prep area, guy take cash with gloves on and then start cooking again with the same gloves on, and a cook throw a ball of dough in the air in it hit the rafters. He looked around to see if anyone noticed. I have no idea if he still used it or not. If you want a picture with a huge slice of pizza then that's where to go, But I wouldn't...
