We had a horrible experience. One of the mechanisms to unlock the clue was jammed. Even though the staff was supposedly watching on camera, we tried the appropriate way three times to no success. When that didn't work, we tried other ways which created several minutes of time penalties. When the staff finally gave us a hint to do what we did in the first place, she noticed the door was jammed. She then used 5 more minutes of our hour trying to unjam the door (total of 20 minutes of the hour gameplay lost between this and peneltiea). She finally decided to give us a new "clue" which was not the one in the jammed door. That clue was supposed to open a specific lock she pointed to. We tried that multiple times. To no success and time ran out. When she came to run through "the clues we missed", the staff noticed that the lock we was trying that she told us to try was placed on the wrong door. Her response "haha oh well if you tried the clue I gave you on that lock over there it would have worked. I am sorry the locks got mixed up. I am new here."
Losing 33% of your game time due to the room not functioning and due to the room set up inappropriatly was $100.00 down the drain. There was no offer of compensation in any way even when the staff was informed that our group was scheduled to return the next day. I am not someone who usually looks for a refund. However, when the specific thing you purchased does not work, there should at least be a conversation about a percentage off.

My husband and I have done many escape rooms and never struggled like we did with this one. When we asked for clues, they weren’t very clear on what they were referring to and therefore felt kind of useless. Read moreThis room was absolutely terrible. My mom and I did the serial doctor, it was her first time doing an escape room and she couldn't be more let down. There was no story told before hand, no opening clue. Nothing. The dates and names in the first room made no sense and serve no purpose, you couldn't see the locks because of how bad the glare was. There was no sound or anything it wasn't scary in the slightest. The second room was just as bad, the things you have to do to solve the codes are so stupid and make little to no sense.
