Grand View Lodge — Hotel in Jackson

$2,000 for four nights. A total rip-off. Misrepresented. You think you are booking from the Snow King Lodge but are sent to another site. Therefore you can’t have use of the pool at the lodge or amenities the lodge provides. Such as clean rooms, good linens, robes, slippers, glasses, silverware. Photos on web site are NOT the one we stayed in. We were in 5020S. Carpets filthy. A single couch and no coffee table or side tables. Some old flea market table with 2 horrible uncomfortable wooden chairs that came from goodwill. You couldn’t even sit and have a cocktail or cup of coffee. Thread bare bath towels. No glasses, wine glasses or toaster as well as 2 forks, one spoon and one butter knife. No sponge or kitchen towels or dish soap. No cutting board or proper knife to cut a lime. Garbage sacks but no garbage can. The main bathroom with a soaking tub/shower is extremely dangerous to get in and out of to shower. Should have a walk in shower. Some old ratty, rusty shower curtain that doesn’t even keep the water in the ridiculous tub. No extra Kleenex. Ran out and had to buy some. Patio uninhabitable with old dirty chairs and wire table. Hasn’t been cleaned all summer. Someone’s old shoes and dirty sock left out there. All you hear when you open the door is truck noise from the road above. No screen so you can’t open it anyway. Woken up every morning at 6:30 by the noisy people in the other side. Apparently it’s a lock out set up. Someone parked in our “assigned” spot. The mini fridge is incapable of making ice. No ice machines on site, either in the garage area or anywhere in...

Staying at the snow king resort, you almost have to eat at the Grandview. Breakfast is fantastic. ||||We went there for lunch and ordered chicken wings. The first order came out not thoroughly cooked, we sent them back for a new order which again came out not cooked.. The third order was great. Whatever, They made good by not charging us for the wings.||||BUT, later that night, I when to the restaurant for a drink and wait for my girl friend to get ready. They have a nice seating area by a fire place. I walked in the host stopped me and asked if I was having dinner, i tell him no, I was going to have a drink while waiting for my girlfriend.||||He saids in a condescending way “most people check in at the host.. such a jerk. Grrr was I hot!! I let him know that he was a jerk and left. ||||Should have said “most restraints cook their wings”. ||||Even though we had the food issue, I would have left a good review but because of the host issue, no way.||||Remember that the restaurant is part of the resort and you pay a $40 resort fee per day that you find out about when you check in. We were in Grand View 5020S. It is a lock out from what I could tell. Horrible. Got there, no glasses, no utensils, no knife, some coffee cups and 3 plates. An undercounter fridge that was worthless. 2 decent bathrooms, a living room with no table, just one couch and a bad pair of chairs. No where to enjoy a drink or any light breakfast.
