Snow King Motel — Hotel in Jackson

I wouldn't trust this motel for booking multiple rooms or doing room blocks for a wedding. I was going to recommend Snow King Motel to my wedding guests traveling on a budget, but unfortunately the management canceled my room block twice without letting me know. When I asked why they didn't call me to notify me of the cancellation the second time (they didn't notify me the first time either), they said they talked to my mother who didn't want to give her credit card info, so they canceled the block. This was not true - they don't even have my mother's phone number and when I asked her about this she told me she never got a call from them. Also, all the other hotels and motels I have called do not require a credit card for a room block. You should not be charged for rooms if they are not booked by your guests - most places just hold the rooms for a certain point before letting them back open...

We came out of Yellowstone national park and headed straight to Jackson for an overnight stay. Not having booked well in advance, we suffered the consequence of having to take whatever that is available. A lady from another hotel which was fully booked sent us to the Snow King Motel.||||The gentleman at the office, probably the owner, was very kind but the price we had to pay was more like double of what the room was worth. The room had seen better days. Everything worked, just that the place was run down. The air-con was noisy but we did not really need it. So we just switched it off. ||||There was free wifi, slow but worked fine. There was also the usual coffee maker, and a microwave, but no breakfast. It was ok for an overnight stay, but definitely not good...

If you are looking for an affordable place to crash and store your things in the notoriously pricey Jackson than this might be your place. It is no frills but had everything I needed in the small one queen bedroom I stayed in.

The room organization is very well done too, as it has a table with two chairs, a mini-fridge, microwave and desk. The lighting in the room is separated nicely between the areas as well so someone could be in the bathroom or table area and not disturb a person trying to sleep.
