Cafe Genevieve in Jackson, Wyoming, is a beloved local spot known for its Southern-inspired comfort food served in a cozy, historic log cabin just off the town square. The restaurant has garnered acclaim for its warm ambiance, attentive service, and a menu that blends classic dishes with unique twists. 🌟 Signature Dish: Pig Candy A standout at Cafe Genevieve is their renowned Pig Candy—thick, applewood-smoked bacon coated with a blend of sugars and spices, then baked low and slow to achieve a perfect caramelized finish. This delicacy gained national attention after being featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and The Today Show. It’s so popular that the restaurant offers it for purchase by the box, both in-house and online . 🍽️ Menu Highlights Cafe Genevieve’s menu offers a variety of dishes that have received praise from patrons: • Huevos Con Chile Verde: Fried eggs served over house-made green chile, refried beans, and tortillas, topped with jack cheese and accompanied by chorizo. • Fried Chicken and Mac & Cheese: A comforting combination of lightly breaded fried chicken paired with creamy mac and cheese . • Eggs Benedict Variations: Including the Cajun Eggs Benedict with house-made boudin sausage and the Fried Green Tomato Benedict . • Pig Candy Salad: Mixed greens topped with candied bacon, blue cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. • Reuben Sandwich: Braised corned beef with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on rye, served with house-made potato chips . 🍹 Drinks and Atmosphere The restaurant features a full bar with specialty brunch cocktails, including a Bloody Mary garnished with Pig Candy and the Cochon Cocktail—a bourbon drink with a Pig Candy rim. The ambiance is enhanced by its historic setting and a dog-friendly patio, making it a welcoming spot for both locals and visitors . 📍 Location & Hours • Address: 135 East Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001 • Hours: Open daily for brunch from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on weekends and until 2:00 PM on weekdays. Cafe Genevieve operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with takeout options available.

This place is one of the WORST PLACE I have been to. First off, things are at the pricey side but we did not get any good service for the price we pay. Food: Foods are on the salty side, and the coffee just taste meh. Everything is just average or somewhat below that. We normally like taking picture of our food, but since it was so mediocre we didn't bother with it. But the main problem is our whole table end up having STOMACH DISCOMFORT after eating their food. Service: The very basic seat us down and take an order. Nothing special, BUT, they were rushing us out even though we were still eating our food, and the café was still quite empty so I don't understand why they are trying to make us pay and usher us out so quick. Worst part: They charge us 20% gratitude fee for a table of 4, which is crazy since they said on their menu 20% gratitude may be added to a table of 6. Not only that, they specifically return a receipt that has the tip left empty prompting us to leave more tip on top of that 20% gratitude. NO THANK YOU, for such poor service and food. Then, as we leave we hear one of the staff muttering something about us being cheap under his breath. I wish I can give this place a negative star if possible because I haver never been to such a horrible place that mistreats their customer this much. Part of me wonders if this is a racism thing, since the other table which is with white customers got to stay behind for a long while and chat on their table without being pester to get out of the cafe even though their table was cleared. Wondering if they do this to specifically scam the Asian tourist here...... Overall, I am deeply disgusted by this cafe and would advice people to take their money to go else where. If I have known this is how we will be treated I would rather starve than eat here. This really left a salty note on the nice trip we were having.

This was our last meal before driving home from the parks. Very nice space with great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Busy, but relaxing. We were seated promptly with a short wait. Covid precautions were excellent. We started with a fantastic latte and and cappuccino. Handmade perfection on the crema and foam. Food followed shortly. The wife ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The chicken was super juicy from a wonderful brine I assume. The super thick and crunchy batter was a perfect vehicle to care the pure maple syrup and waffles along with every bite. Fantastic! I opted for just a traditional 2 egg breakfast, over easy, and subbed the toast for the giant biscuits and cajun gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The biscuits were cut, and browned and the gravy was delicious, but only got the true cajun flavors with the bites containing sausage. I appreciate the subtlety in that. The only minor complaint would be the hash browns. While excellent flavors with hints of peppers and onions, they were a little soggy with too much oil. I would try it again none the less. There is a reason they have high ratings on social media reviews. They are dedicated. I am confident their corned beef hash is amazing. I overheard they make their own. It looked amazing as it went by. And they use the corned beef on their Ruben! All other items on the menu I would have loved to try had I stayed several more days. Well done! I highly recommend you give them a shot. Morham from KC

We came to this restaurant because we were wandering around trying to find a place to eat and this little lady said she enjoyed their breakfast and lunch.

The waiter was a bit standoffish, at first you think he is arrogant but it might just be his odd personality.

There were only a few people at the restaurant but it seemed they were not very attentive to filling your water or asking if all is okay.

That said one of the reasons for the low mark is that when a different guy came out to bring us our food, he handed a friend a very hot plate which burned her hand, and he never even mentioned it was hot - and it was for food u would not expect to be on a hot plate. With that said, we mentioned it to the waiter who's first words were " "Well I did not bring out the plates" rather than something like "Oh that's aweful! I am really sorry to hear that. Would you like some ice!" (He did bring out ice later when we were done and after her hand was a little better).

Furthermore, one of my friends over heard one of the people in the back say "oh she burned herself on the plate" and while this statement may seem Innocent enough, it wasn't that "She burned herself, it was that "He" burned her hand handing her a hot plate.

Not that its expected but you would think that with burning your customers hand, that might warrant a free dessert or something.

At the end, he did say that they "yelled at the guy" for doing that but that's no real consolation.

My food was good, The Reubin sandwich my father had was dry and tasteless, with not...
