My experience at Kasa La Flora was overall decent and a good option for the price point. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
Pros: • Self Check-in: The self-check-in process is quick and convenient, eliminating the need to wait at a traditional front desk. However, it does come with some limitations. • Clean Rooms: The rooms are tidy, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. • Responsive Customer Support: Customer service is easily accessible via text or their online link, and they usually respond within a few minutes.
Cons: • Strict Check-in/Check-out Policies: Early check-in is not allowed, and there’s a $50 fee for late check-out (even for just 2 hours). Many guests, including myself, had to wait until 3:30 PM to check in, and options for flexibility were often denied by the virtual front desk. • Limited Room Service: While the rooms are clean upon arrival, there’s no daily housekeeping. This can be inconvenient if you’re staying for more than a couple of days. Additionally, the rooms are slightly small, which may be a concern for those who prefer more space.
Overall, I’d rate Kasa La Flora a solid 3.5–4 stars out of 5. It’s a good budget-friendly option with some modern conveniences but also a few limitations that could...

I was assigned a new code, and that worked to finally get me in my room. I went out for dinner, and the code did not work to get me back in the hotel This qualifies as a pain in the rear.
I had a 60 lb bag, and I needed to lug that up 2 flights of stairs, as they did not have an elevator.
The room itself was very nice. Nice bed, Roku tv, nice bathroom, coffee maker and a fridge.
They had Fiji water and wafer cookies, so I emailed them to see if these were complimentary, as there was no sign. The customer service person said no, but later she contacted the property, and said they were complimentary. Confusion.
The room let's any sound though.
Nightclub bass was really loud.
The garbage truck came promptly at 7 am and was amazingly loud as well.
The location was great.

Read moreFirst time at Kasa La Flora, i do have to say it is a great location: 1 block from bus station on Washington Av (a gym next to bus stop), 1. 5 block from Ocean Dr (park and beach area), Walgrens 2 blocks away, plenty of restaurants around. It makes everything walkable and easy.
I really liked Kasa La Flora. Make sure you do all procedure and steps for self check in (i forgot to get the main entrance door code). There is no front desk but supervisor María is VERY friendly and helpful in case you need to reach out near check-in time.
Room was quiet, stayed on ground floor. Window view facing a parking lot (yes, it had shades and privacy). Bed was OK. Room distribution was great. I would definitely stay here again.
Kitchen was under remodeling so i had no access to it, although there was a small fridge i used in the room to keep sandwiches, snacks and beverages.
