Oh lord, where do I begin? I have a lot to say. My husband and I booked the executive king room last year for my birthday getaway in 2022. We unexpectedly had a family member pass away and we needed to change our dates to attend their funeral. We had to call and La Quinta worked with us and was able to change our dates for us. We also had 2 huskies with us and they were able to stay for free. We were super happy with that which is why we chose La Quinta to begin with because every other hotel charged an outrageous pet fee. Fast forward to Feb. of 2023, we came back to La Quinta for my birthday again and even chose La Quinta out of every other hotel because we knew the pets could stay for free. We booked the deluxe king room during this stay. Well, after our long 3 hr 30 min drive, we found out when we arrived that our pets were not free which is WHY we chose this hotel to begin with because that was the thing we loved so much about this hotel. We thought they could stay for free because, like the previous year, they were able to. Upon talking to the manager, they said there was a pet fee all the way at the bottom in fine print. If I had known that La Quinta had changed their pet policy, we would not have stayed here at all. We were not informed prior that there was now a pet fee and we didn't have time to find another hotel when we arrived so we got charged $89 for 2 pets even after paying a hefty price of $344 for 3 nights which now made our total over $433. We are very, very unsatisfied. We won't be staying here anymore for sure. They should've had everything updated with their new pet policy information before people book their rooms to inform them of the change where they can clearly read it, not put something like that all the way at the bottom of the listing. We also had a stink bug in our room up on the ceiling crawling around which was also gross because smooshing these bugs causes a horrible smell so it just kind of hung out in our room all night. 🤮 Don't even get me started on the bathroom. The shower curtain rod is slanted and broken and the shower curtain wouldn't even stay closed for my husband or me while showering. The curtain kept sliding open and kept getting water on the floor. It was such a nightmare to deal with. This king room shouldn't even be considered a king. It's standard at best. There was also some construction work going on during our stay. It was very loud and obnoxious. There was constant hammering going on. The shower also makes a loud noise when turned on. Almost like the sound of a hair dryer which was also super loud to listen to while showering. Do not stay here if you have pets because they don't stay free and the rooms...
Read moreWe came and stayed for a whole week for our summer vacation and to visit family in the area. The room was nice and spacious. I did notice, however that the bathroom door would not lock (room 210). No big deal, however the reasoning to this review and the rate is because I am highly disappointed with the over all customer service experience. We brought our cat with us during our trip and kept him out of his carrier so therefore was told by the front desk clerk to leave any towels and dirty linens outside the door and housekeeping would pick it up because they can not do a refresh if he was not in the carrier. We also brought our own blankets to sleep with due to the covid 19 to just feel a little more at ease and what not. So, we did as we were told to do and placed all of the dirty towels and the duvet/topper from the beds outside the room door.
The morning we checked out and was loading up, the morning clerk stopped us outside asking where the duvet and topper was and I told her exactly what I am stating in this here review and thought nothing of it because she said ok and wished us safe travels back home. Later that evening we realize my cousins bank card was charged $260. I called the hotel and spoke to the evening clerk and was informed that indeed there was a charge for "missing bedding" and to call back in the morning to speak to the GM, Mr. Tweet. I called the following morning to be told that he was told by the "higher up" to charge for incidentals so therefore I called cooperate to see if they could do anything to resolve the problem being we are being wrongfully charged for something we did not nor would want to take! Cooperate took down the report and emailed it to the GM and told me to contact him back to further handle the situation for the refund. So, again I called to speak to him and was told that since I went to cooperate it is "out of his hands". Absolutely got nothing but the run around! So the bank was called and they are doing their part to dispute the charge and will make sure the hotel runs back their cameras which will clearly show that everything was placed outside the room door! What a horrible ending to a week long vacation. Thankfully the charge didn't affect us getting back home! We will NOT be back to stay at this property again. Read moreMe and my husband took alittle vacation for our anniversary our first night I found a roach crawing on the cabinet right under the TV when I took it down to the front desk they pretty much said I went outside and got it tht it didn't come from the hotel room he was very rude and disrespectful and of course the manager wasn't there and they would not move us to another room so the second night I open the door to get into the fridge to get a pop and there are aleast 6 or 7 roaches my husband pulled out the fridge and they where a bunch of them I go back down stairs talk to the same gentleman working at the front desk and he said the only thing he can do is move us room so we was in room 405 moved us to 316 and we had to wait to talk to manager which she was sopppse to come in at 10pm so we waited and waited it was almost 3am before she came in so when my husband spoke to her and she said the only thing she could do was give us 15% off of the first night which came to 18.35 which is absolutely crazy a day later they did come to us and said they was going to reimburse us the first night which I was better than 18.00 but it's sad tht me and my husband had this planned for a couple month we was celebrating our 1 year anniversary we was very excited couldn't wait to go and I did nothing but stress out the whole time and was scared to death tht we would carry them home with us we tried to make the best of it but it was hard and we should of been able to go there and enjoy our self with no worries I really hope they take care of it but we stayed for 5 days and never once seen a exterminator so we will never be going back...
