Riverside Motor Lodge — Hotel in Pigeon Forge

The room was exactly what I was looking for, for our family vacation stay, during the winter of, February 2020. Praise the Lord the rooms were CLEAN, had a fireplace, kitchenette, two bedrooms with queen beds, a couch pull-out sofa, table, and options to leave dishes dirty and willing to pay the maid for washing them up for you. They are a "family-owned" place of business and we had the BEST of PEACE and RELAXATION that ANY hotel/resort could offer and along with genuine personalities/characters of the owners and operators. The indoor pool is heated :) (90 degrees) and has an area within the pool set up like a hot tub with seats and jets and it stays open until midnight!! That's a bonus for family's with children. We were given fresh towels and anything else needed, whether we were there in the room or out about in town, EVERY single DAY and never went without! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It also offers the best prices around, they give discounts for multiple room stays and they have a PENTHOUSE on the very top floor with it being the ONLY room on that floor and a two foot concrete slab under you, that practically makes it sound proof for others below. They have outdoor grills, restaurants are in walking distant and across the street, the grocery store is across the parking lot, and theirs a church in between the hotel and grocery store so therefore, it feels mighty cozy and comfortable. If there was a way to leave less than one star I would definitely do so. This was without a doubt the worst place we've ever stayed. The plumbing from the toilet backed up all over the floor (after only being used one time and not stuffed full of toilet paper). When we called the front desk they told us they didn't have anyone who could help fix that (only one person at a hotel this size.....it was only about 8pm)...nor could they move us to a different room because there was none available. So.....we attempted to just settle in and not flush the toilet the remainder of our stay. Yuk......We were told we'd have to speak to management in the AM to resolve anything, but that the guy working the desk would be happy to give us as many towels as we needed to clean up the problem.....yuk again.....When we spoke to management in the AM they would only give us a free nights stay (and only Sunday through Thursday...our stay was a Saturday night so we paid that rate). What a disgusting bunch of nonsense. If customer service is in any way important to you I would suggest sleeping in your own dang car over another night at this location. You can bet we will be spreading the word to our family and friends who frequent this area....ANY place is better...

I just wanted to take a moment to say that this hotel is awesome when me and my wife travel we always try to stay at locally owned hotels and we struck gold wit this on from the moment we walked in the lobby we felt like we were home the lady on the desk I believe her name is Jill was the kindest lady I've spoke to in a long time she greeted us with in seconds of entering the door helped us pick a room and even allowed us to view it before booking which is a big plus because as we all know cleanliness is a big thing in picking a hotel to stay at and after swing other reviews I will not lie we were a little hesitate about staying well I am here to say these people are crazy the room was spotless from the windowsills to the fire place we could not find a single thing wrong with the room it was super clean and no bugs here. just in case you wondered the jacuzzi rooms are great. big tub to soak in nice fireplace to keep you warm and the wifi was awesome. They also have an indoor pool which is heated and is also super clean they got a 100 on health inspection which really didn't surprise me considering everything else was top notch we will be staying here again thank you riverside motor lodge home...
