We had never been here before and we go to Pigeon Forge all the time. It was my company work picnic at Dollywood and we live only about 2 hours away near Chattanooga so we drove from home the morning of the picnic and got to Dollywood about 1pm. When we got there the parking lot was completely full so we were forced to see if there was some parking outside of Dollywood at Patriot Park. When we pulled in, of course the lot was full also but I saw somebody pull out and took the park luckily. I went inside the depot and got all day passes for the trolley and we rode on it to and from Dollywood and yeah it took a little while, waiting and whatnot but 4 all day passes was still a good bit cheaper than the $25 parking at Dollywood so it's definitely worth it to just ride the trolley from here. This also looked like a pretty cool place. We will definitely be taking the trolley from here more often. It's also alot better than having to drive around yourself. It's a win win...
Read moreI’ve NEVER in my life regretted doing an experience more than the 4th of July celebration at patriot park. We did the shuttle option and there was 0 thought put into it AT ALL. Waited over an hour after the festival (before the fireworks were even over) just to get ON the shuttle because they wouldn’t start rides back until fireworks were over then another hour for the next set of shuttles to arrive. Tons of people were cutting lines + nobody knew where the lines were. It was outrageously hot. There was nobody updating anybody. We ended up walking the 22 minutes back and got back before the second set of shuttles even arrived. Besides that the festival was crowded and not fun. There is no sense of personal space and people set up right on top of you. The fireworks were terrible setting off one with a long pause before the next one. Honestly not worth it at all and would be more worth your while to watch parked at the hotel near buy or the gas station. Will never be...
Read moreWe came to patriot Park because Fourth of July they had fireworks as well as Joe Nichols performing. We found a parking spot very close. As we got there, the concert was free. Everything was packed, and we realized that there are no open containers. That they are very strict there was not one place that sold VR nearby and nothing on patriot Park as the concert was going on. I was very shocked because that’s how they would make most of their money with the drinks, but there was no alcohol on premises And, supposedly you could get arrested if you did have alcohol there. The fireworks were nice nothing special. I probably wouldn’t come back here next year. Only if someone was performing it was nice free concert for...
