I had high expectations for this place. It was recommended and then I read some reviews and was truly looking forward to enjoying a good burger but that was not the case.
The place itself it small but cute. I like the photo ops that are available indoor and out. We were given an estimated wait time of 45 minutes to an hour but pleasantly surprised that our wait was only 30 minutes.
No for the not so good part to my visit. Once inside we were seated at a high table which for me is not a problem but my dining companion has bad legs/knees so she was not comfortable. It took our waitress about 10+ minutes to come to our table to introduce herself and take our order. From the time we ordered until the time we received our food, the wait was ridiculously long. It took approximately 48 minutes for two burgers to get to us.
My girlfriend ordered the create your own burger and I ordered the Lab Burger. It had a rainbow colored bun, cheese, and bacon.
The air conditioning in the restaurant felt like it was on “Antarctic” setting (it was very cold) which concerned me with the temperature of my food once it arrived and without fail the fries were lukewarm and so was the burger. Not only was the burger not hot but it was hard and dry. Ugh! At this point I’m hungry and ready to go so I ate majority of the burger and left some of the hard pieces on my plate.
Our server Ashley was nice and accommodating so I want to be sure to give her a shoutout. We requested to be moved to a different table so my girlfriend could sit comfortably and that was done without hesitation.
The prices are fair and the food looks good but the temperature and hard meat was a big no for me. I will not return her or recommend this place to anyone not even my...
Read more[7/2023, $87] This restaurant charges $1 for a tablespoon of mayo. A 128oz mayo costs $15 to $20 in PR from a supermarket. This is an outlandish and laughable charge for a dab of mayo.
When this restaurant server asks you what you want for drink, and if you answer water, the server will bring a $2.50 Dasani bottle water. How clever! The restaurant makes money at an instant you order any drinks. I don’t know if we had other $0 water choice.
I ordered chicken fingers that had a slight freezer flavored to it and an excellently seasoned and cooked slider burgers.
My companion ordered a vegetarian burger but it didn’t have any fat sauce that can spread the flavor of other ingredients to make the burger tasty. A culinary faux pas. How can a restaurant that claims to be mayo lab does not put sauce on a veggie burger that doesn’t have any animal fat. This is a burger 101. A Big Mac comes with a Big Mac sauce. This restaurant’s veggie burger doesn’t come with any sauce from a place that claims to be a Mayo Lab, when it does, it charges $1 for a dab of mayo
So, he asked for mayo. She gave us a tablespoon of mayo for $1 in a tiny cup. What a laughable thing to do.
Overall, we had a good experience. The waitress was nice and food was generally good.
We paid $87 for two bottle water, chicken fingers with fries, sliders, a vegetarian sandwich with onion rings, a dab of mayo, and an cocktail.
This summarizes our PR experience. Often, if you want something decent to good in PR, you have to pay a lot of money, and it often comes with surprises like $1 dab of mayo, something you get it for free in most places. Life is unnecessarily a lot more difficult and costly in PR for no reason. This restaurant...
Read moreThe overall design of the place is amazing, the food not so much. It is definitely a place that you go just for the aesthetic vs good food. Our server was terrible. She took about 15 minutes to take our order, then the chef rang the bell for our appetizer that i watched her look at 6 times and let it sit there for 10 minutes before bringing it to us.Instead shes carrying on laughing with other servers doing a whole lot of nothing. ( I should of just got up and got the appetizer myself). During all of this we haven’t even received our drinks yet and we had to ask to get our drinks. By the time she got us our appetizer it was cold, and the chef didn’t look to happy that she just let it sit there ( he rang the bell and looked at her multiple times) because when she went up to get the appetizer finally our actual meal was already done and she looked frustrated at the chef when he put it up when it was her fault. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, 2-3 servers it looked like with maybe 5 tables sat. After we reminded her about our drinks she said yes rudely and tossed cokes on our table and scurried off. No cups no straws no ice. The chef had to come and bring us cups of ice and straws. Shout out to the chef, he left before we could give HIM the tip before her, he was more of our waitress then she was. The chef even seen i was struggling with the syringe of mayo and brought me...
