This spot was suggested to me by Nomad front desk rep. I was starving when I got here on a Friday early eve and of course staying in area. I was asked if I wanted to dine upstairs (outside) or downstairs. I opted for upstairs. When I got there the girl asked if I wanted to *sit at bar. I thought this was best as I was solo but when she showed me to seat, it was a mounted table on wall in front of the kitchen? Not an actual bar. So I asked to sit in back excusing my choice as I thought it was regular bar. She seated me then... disappeared. I don't know where she went but was waiting for a while before asking another waitress for help. When I asked about something regarding menu, she wasn't sure as I realized she didn't speak English that well. I waited some more and she didn't return either. If people don't speak a language, ignoring a patron is not the answer to this issue. I am not one to expect anyone to speak my language and am understanding. I got up and went downstairs explaining what happened to a very professional girl. She took care of the rest and I had a great quick bite with cocktail and left. This place is very appealing with beautiful art murals and lighting. The upstairs is a great place for small crowds to have Mexican and Margaritas night. The music was great as well. Hopefully the rest of staff is briefed on customer...
Read moreThe food was exceptional. But what made this place unique was the 5 star customer service! We had just left a spot up the road after not even being acknowledged for ten minutes. This place was different from the moment we walked in. Quickly they greeted us and explained they offered more seating upstairs. We opted to eat outside but the area wasnt lit. We didn't realize the outside part was closed because of the heat. They opened it up and offered fans. The waitress gave us her fav choices of food and everyone and I do mean EVERYONE checked on us throughtout the night. They are so personable and friendly, even the other waiters were nice!
What took the cake and prompted this review was when we had desert and coffee. Unbeknownst to us they ran out of milk but without hesitation one of the staffers ran to get milk!! Wow. Had we known they didnt have milk I would have been absolutely ok, but they went out of their way to make sure that our experience never wavered. I'm from Atlanta and I work in the sales and customer service field and I'm usually not easily impressed but the team trully offered a culture of caring. Thank you again to everyone at Acapulco and to the leadership for hiring such...
Read moreEating at this resturant was probably my favorite thing about my trip to Puerto Rico. It was everything I imagined and more really. The experience the atmosphere in the resturant was spot on. I ordered the tamale, and it was amazing, the aguas frescas were delicious like nothing I have ever had. I think I could have ate a good sized bowel of the pico just by itself. Everything I put in my mouth delighted me (I tried food from my families plates as well 😉). I had been searching a very long time for really good authentic food and I found it. The young lady who took our order (i really wish i could remember her name bc she def deserves a shout out) had such a great personality very welcoming and upbeat and she was so patient as she explained the different items on the menu. My little girl was tired and having a fit but by the time our meal was over my daughter was giving this lady a high five. I think personalities like her's lend themselves in making a great experience for customers as well. I have been daydreaming about my meal since we left. Take my advice. Stop...
