I love the pools and location of this property and recommend everyone give it a shot but here is my experience. Check in is a bit awkward with the kiosk stations and there was a man behind the counter that would not even look in my direction, but the other young lady at least somewhat explained the process. I am old fashioned and like good old hospitality and a friendly greeting but maybe that is an old way of thinking. I have to say that the appeal of hot spring pools practically outside my hotel door is what keeps me coming back to this place every year. Also being a little out of town but still close enough to walk into town is another plus. The new renovations to the pools are spectacular and the different temperature options is a brilliant idea. I also received one of the best massages I have received in a very long time at the spa. Our room was outdated and there was a weird sticky spot on the floor, but the beds were comfortable and our sheets were clean. We also had plenty of towels for our entire stay as we elected to not receive room service. If you do elect not to have room service make sure to read that you get a credit to the restaurant in the form of a coupon and not money off your stay, which i should have paid more attention too since we only ate there once during our 5 nights.

We had such a great time with our long daily excursions and being able to relax in the pools before bed we decided to stay a little longer. After talking to an extremely helpful and pleasant person, Sally guided us on extending our stay.

We checked out and went about doing more exploring in the mountains and came back and checked in and decided we would just order a pizza and wings at the hotel. We had went to the restaurant a couple days prior and dined in but this was the first time ordering room/pool service. Went to order a supreme pizza but minus a few of the veggies similar to an order we did when we sat at the restaurant. In the middle of ordering a guy behind me that was sitting in lounge chair got up and didn’t even address me but addressed the person I was ordering from and said that my pizza request could not be done and that what I was trying to do would be special and really expensive and before I could ask why he stormed out of the room. I was so taken aback by the encounter that I decided I was too embarrassed to finish my order. I didn’t understand why he would imply that I couldn’t afford the pizza or what was happening? I would have been more than willing to change my order to whatever was the proper way but instead I just felt humiliated. Even the person behind the counter apologized but never gave an explanation. It turned out the guy was the owner. I hope others stay and enjoy the pools but I would maybe recommend just enjoying some of the other wonderful and hospitable...

Our stay was 3 nights this past week. Our room was 206 upper level. Across from pool area that was convenient! Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable, but room felt small. Maybe removing the big chair replace with smaller one smaller TV stand would help it feel more open. The only problem we had when taking a shower the water kept losing water pressure. Twice the shower water pressure stopped I had to stand there turn watere off for 10- 15 min with soap on me waitting for pressure to come back on before I could spray off. I didn't complain because upper front desk staff already made you feel like you were inconience them & roud/ short when asking a question. Didn't want to let them put a damper on my stay because the area was so breathtaking an beautiful. The resort it's self I found very clean an beautiful The moist vapor cave was great. But the dry sauna not as enjoyable. It would be better to have 2 moist saunas do away with the dry one. Other pools were nice felt great soaking in them. Breakfast was nice. The Main Street resuraunt was delicious we ate there all 3 nights. Wings were the bomb. The price to stay here was reasonable hope they don't hike up the.price as they continue to make future planned up grades. That would be sad if your guest could not afford to stay in this beautiful breathtaking place! I deducted one star for service. When checking out Amber was very nice to answer few questions on other room size as we intend to return with our two adult kids & their families. The manager on staff Thurs morning. very roudly interrupted. Amber was doing great answering professionaly their was no need for him to cut her off & interrupte. He already had an attitude like he didn't want to be there let alone bothered!!. Few of the older ladies at the front desk were also hateful an short when checking in. Amber stood out with her pleasantness & big welcoming smile. She was eager to make you feel welcomed an address questions. Also the Owners Father was a joy to talk to his welcomed attitude to all who came in contact with him was heart warming. You could tell he took pride in thIs establishment. The efforts of these two employees is what will bring guest back an make this establishment a success The place is to beautiful to let staff sour with roudness. I also saw the other front staff being short to other guest. An heard chats while standing in line for Breakfast about this same issue Please address that.!! Even your gardening & maids were much more pleasant. Big shout out to Amber please keep up the great coustmer service an heart warming attitude. When reviewing our bill. There were no hidden charges. It was exactly what I expected it to be. I know that's important to other...

One of the most Greedy, Scammy, and frustrating hotels I've ever stayed in. I'm not a fan of the 1 star reviews, nor do I think people really look to far into them but I'd recommend reading this one. I'm not a disgruntled guest or anything, just had a really bad experience and feel a 1 star is the best fit for their business practices here.

1st off I understand they are in Ouray where places to stay are limited so they will most likely get booked up no matter how bad their reviews are but I would only book here if it was your last resort compared to sleeping on the streets. Honestly, I would rather sleep in my car than here for the price.

This hotel thinks just because no matter what they will get booked up that they can take advantage of their customers. They charge you extra for LITERALLY EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. Want silverware for your to go meal at the restaurant: extra charge, want a 1 hour extended checkout: $25/hr extra, literally anything you need its extra, we were afraid to use the coffee machine in the room.

Our hotel stay was EXPENSIVE and the room looks like an outdated motel from the 80s still which was confusing as well.

Our package came with a $100 massage credit (was cheaper for this package than one that didn't have it) and on their WEBSITE it clearly states that a 20% tip will be applied to the massage bill IF YOU DO NOT specify a tip, however after the massage we found out that they REQUIRE you to do a 20% tip for a $150 massage. The amount extra we paid for the massage out of pocket is pretty comparable to what you'd pay locally where you live for a massage so that "credit" they give you is just to get you to spend money with them. Feel free to see my attached picture of their website clearly stating a 20% tip is not required unless you don't specify a tip.

Their website, other pages on their website, their forms you get when checking in, plus what you're told from the staff are ALL DIFFERENT. They need to get their ish together honestly. It was such a confusing experience reading stuff on their site just to be told something completely different in person when getting there. Not to mention multiple pages on the same site of theirs says different things. so honestly don't rely on any info you get from their site.

There was much more to our stay but I don't feel like writing a book. The last thing was that the staff was not very nice or "customer service" like. They honestly couldn't care less about the customers, most likely because people staying there probably had no choice because of the limited options in Ouray. I would honestly just go stay in a camper or Telluride or something, this hotel doesn't even...
