So this place is definitely unique and worth a visit! First, the food is outstanding! Pasties come in a ton of flavors, varieties, very cross-cultural from Mexican to Greek to classic homestyle American, vegan, just name it and they probably have it! I ordered the chicken potpie-safe choice for me and it is huge, baked fresh and came with gravy, potato chicken veggies felt like eating at Grandma's. Also tried their tomato bisque soup which was very good, rich, a little pricey for the small portion but goes well with the pasty. Husband has tried the rosemary chicken and the greek-loved both but said the Greek was the best. With two iced teas, two pasties, and cup of soup, our bill was about $45 before tip. Typical for lunch for us these days and definitely worth it. The place, unfortunately, is very quaint but seating is severely limited and it's not very comfortable. The main door swings open easily and the bar is completely open from table top to ceiling. Our visit had some extremely cold weather that day so if it wasn't for this super warm heating vent above the bar, it would be way too cold to dine in. Parking is a nightmare, we have not been able to dine here because it is so limited and not very close by. Also, nearest bathroom is a little inconvenient-shared community bathroom around the corner from the restaurant and not very clean with only a single stall. Read moreAmbiance (2/5): Located on the busy strip of Mill. There's a tight row of outdoor dining tables and the wall is shared with the inner bar on the inside. The dark inside setting has bar seating and similarly tight spacing. Loud rock music played from the speakers overhead where we dined outside. Walls are decked out in graffiti/ grunge decor. Bathrooms require a key from the front and are located around the building behind locked metal doors.
Service (1/5): It was basically no service as we walked our water glasses from the server from the bar and also ordered at bar.
Spicy Chicken Asiago (2/5): The chicken meat was very dry and hardly seasoned. I liked the spice level but the overall flavor was lacking despite having a side of pico and sour cream to bolster the pastry. The pastry dough reminds me of a pie crust and that part was soft and buttery but not crunchy. I enjoyed the dough part.
