RUN AWAY! Firstly, I do not understand the good reviews. The owner was intrusive with our plans, he was visibly upset that we booked our trips from get your guide and not from him. The toilet was broken when we arrived and before fixing it, he tried to imply it was our fault somehow. The room itself had a very strong smell of MOLD, the walls were full of mold, the curtains, the bed was pungent. We complained, so their solution was to bring essential oils. We requested another room, they said they did not have one, only the following day, but upon checking by request, the so called better room was identical!! So we left, he agreed to give us the money back, but while saying that is better we leave because he does not want bad reviews and that we hurry so that he can give the room to someone else. We just went on the spot to anther homestay with almost the same money, which was 15 times better, closer to the river and had a pool! Honestly, avoid it! Much better...
Read moreThe owner and his family are amazing hosts. They looked after us extremely well and were always there to help suggest places to go and things to try in Hoi An. You can book you some tours and experiences through them too, which is sometimes cheaper than the local tour operators.||The room was everything we could have wanted (better than some hotels we’ve stayed in) the bed was comfy and the room was cleaned daily. They provide water, toiletries and they have a mini fridge with a few drinks and snack you can buy (extremely handy and cheaper than the stores)||The home stay is located 10 mins from the riverside and the ancient town, so it’s easy to get around in the day, but also nice and quiet at night. There are bikes that are free to use to help you get around too (An Bang beach is a 20 min ride away and not to be missed!)||Cannot recommend this place highly enough! We liked it so much we extended our stay (booked 2 nights,...
Read moreWe arrived a bit early a Onion Homestay but were able to leave our bags in a safe space so we could explore the town. When we got back it turned out our room had a problem with the toilet. The owners came with a solution straight away, which was giving us a room at his other homestay in town called Lacasa Villa near the night market in old town Hoi An. So this review is based on that. Room in Lacasa was spacious and came with a really comfy large bed. Bathroom was modern and clean, only the shower door didn't close easily but we managed to find a way for it to stay shut. The owner is absolutely amazing and was always there in the morning cooking breakfast for us, which was delicious and a great way to start the day. They can also organise various tours and activities for you, there's free bicycles to use and they have motorbikes for rent too. All in all we had a...
