HANGING GARDEN HOMESTAY — Hotel in Hội An

We had the nicest time staying at The Hanging Garden! At a point in our travels when we were really craving a homely feel and the kindness of warm-hearted people, this place gave us exactly that.

Honestly, we couldn’t understand why there aren’t more reviews—this place deserves so many! The hospitality was incredibly thoughtful, and we felt genuinely welcomed by every staff member we met. They struck the perfect balance of being there whenever we needed them while also allowing for plenty of privacy, making it such a relaxing stay. They were always available on WhatsApp if we had any questions, which was such a nice touch. They even let us check in early and gave us a room with a garden area, which we absolutely loved! It was so calming to sit outside in their beautifully arranged garden.

Our room itself was amazing—so comfortable and well-equipped. The bed was incredibly cosy, and the waterfall shower was such a treat after long days out exploring. There was also a wardrobe and a fridge, which made everything feel even more convenient. We slept so well here!

Breakfast was included each morning and served by the sweetest lady, who greeted us every day with a warm smile and such a lovely presence. The food was delicious, and we were given a different type of fruit each day alongside whatever we ordered. We also did our laundry through them—it was picked up and dropped off right at our door, smelling amazing!

The location is perfect—tucked away in pretty lanes, away from the busier tourist-filled areas, yet still within walking distance of everything.

One of the most special touches was that the kind ladies gave us a different arrangement of flowers each day. I only managed to get a picture of one, but it was such a thoughtful detail! On our departure, the owner came personally to say goodbye, and you could tell how grateful she was that we had stayed.

We kept catching ourselves saying, “It’s so lovely here” and “They’re so sweet here” over and over again. So please stay here—you won’t regret it! We were honestly so...

We were made to feel at home in every way by the wonderful, welcoming and considerate staff at Hanging Garden homestay. Ana communicated well prior to our visit and when we met in person, she was so helpful in arranging tours, transportation and suggestions for eating out. Thua took our orders for freshly prepared breakfast with delicious Vietnamese tea, coffee or juice and also arranged our laundry and provided umbrellas when needed. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great with delicious vegetarian restaurants in the street. We heard of Hanging Garden by word of mouth and I too, recommend this homestay for relaxing accomodation with attentive personal service. We stayed in a room with a private garden and it was big, clean and had lovely facilities. We spent five nights in this accommodation and were lucky to try a range of breakfast options including pancakes, eggs and pho and they were all lovely, home-cooked meals. We especially liked the location - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of the old town, but also in a very quiet and more authentic-feeling part of the city which had a great variety of eating-options nearby. With free bikes, you can get about quite easily, and the women in reception can help organise day tours and cooking classes. We would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for very good value, and a peaceful night's sleep away...
