Phong Phu Villa Hoi An — Hotel in Hội An

Staff were really friendly and helpful. They were wonderful.

But the hotel itself was not good. We arrived and the bed sheet was dirty. We were put on the second floor directly above reception and it was so noisy. Everything from the reception area echoed. People going up and down the stairs was noisy. The shower was horribly temperamental and a slight adjustment meant super hot or super cold water. The bathroom also had lots of black mould on the ceiling - very dangerous. You could hear anyone using water from different rooms. The windows wouldn't completely seal so mosquitos came in.

At night, we came in and no staff were around. That didn't seem safe.

As I said, lovely staff. When I complained they offered a refund if we found somewhere else (which we couldn't close to New Year) but I would never stay here again.

I can't review on Booking because we left a day early so they effectively cancelled our reservation meaning I am unable to...

We recently stayed with Phong Phu Villa in Hoi An and we highly recommended it. Despite being a little bit tired, the hotel was immaculately clean. ||||Its ideal location puts it within easy walking distance of the Old Town and several fantastic local restaurants providing wonderful local Hoi An specialties. ||||The breakfast options were a bit limited and simple but very tasty|||| The air conditioning in the room worked well enough but due to the unusually warm weather in May, the hotel provided an extra fan as we were melting overnight. ||||The one small issue we had was the nearby construction work, which began daily at 7 a.m. and which the hotel had no control of. ||||Nonetheless, my husband and I had a fantastic time and would very much recommend this...

We got the family room which had enough space for the 5 of us. There were enough plug points as well. The washroom was clean, however it could be improved by adding some bathroom hangers for towels / clothes. It should be noted that the hotel does not have a lift, however the staff assisted us with getting the luggage to our room. The service offered by the staff was commendable. The location was quite central, and the city center was at a walking distance from the hotel. However, vehicles cannot enter the road where the hotel is located, therefore we had to walk from the main road for a couple of minutes to get to the hotel.
