After almost a year of planning I had finally get there. And it was better than I imagined! Actually the payment system is really clever, because you have to pay to the cashier on a right side - where you have to choose size, then you are waiting in a qeue on a left side, so you have some time to put your wallet and any other things back to the bag, pocket, ... you get just a ticket for an "ice cream crew", you'll tell them if you want a cup or a cone and flavor(s) you have chosen. So the crew is NOT in touch with money at all. If you are an ice cream lover and indecisive person in one, don't go there, you will die :D but if you have some time during waiting, ask the cashier for help (I did it too and the man was really kind and helpful. He told me, I should taste Salty peanut and pistachio. Honestly I would never try these two together if he wouldn't tell me. Actually I don't normally eat nuts :D but this was like a heaven). Today in the morning my boss brought me Oreo and Maracuja. Oreo is really good and maracuja is very fresh. So if you are thinking about really fresh ice cream, so in this hot weather take maracuja for 100 %! In next few days I am planning to try mango with dark chocolate and ice cream called Chocolate, sea solt and caramel. Thank you for this place, unfortunatelly too close to my job (as my wallet would say) Btw for these large portions, quality and quality - IT IS NOT EXPENSIVE and you...
Read moreI can only talk about the gelato, but I’ve had it many many times and will keep on recommending it to everyone all around the world, because I’ve tasted gelato and “gelato” all over the world and Creme still is one of maybe two best gelato places in the world, and yes, I’ve had many in Italy, too. I took some half Italian friends here and they were instantly so hooked that they ate almost nothing else for the three days they had in Prague 😅 Best thing is that it’s actually not expensive, the small portion is enough and can contain two flavours, the cones are delicious, the vegan flavours are insanely good (their vegan dark choc and blueberry-lavender are my go-to) and unlike many ice-cream places, this one also has loos and a coffee bar. It’s also nicely decorated. I’m personally not so fond of how narrow the entryway is in this particular branch, but I always quickly forget, as soon as I have my cone. I’ve always been served super quickly, even if there is a queue - and...
Read moreheard many great things about creme de la creme in prague! definitely the food highlight of my trip -- had it twice in 24 hours! this location seems to have a wider variety of flavors than the old town location.
there is usually a queue but it's pretty fast. there are indoor seatings with a cafe area and water.
service was fast and i sampled two flavors. you can get two scoops for 109ckk or one scoop for 59ckk; i actually got two half scoops for the small and it was a generous portion!
i tried the blueberry lavender but it was more of a sorbet and the lavender is quite strong. i ended up getting the regular lavender which was a creamy ice cream with more subtle lavender flavor.
i also got the salted dark chocolate with caramel. it is quite salty and rich dark chocolate which i enjoyed. i expected caramel in the ice cream itself but it seemed like more of a subtle...
