If I could ZERO stars I would. Recently got my hair braided for the New Year. When I say, I could’ve done better and I don’t even do hair. I paid an extra 10,000 yen then agreed because i wanted “smaller parts” All of my parts are uneven and far from small. My hair looks like i got it done a month ago and it hasn’t even been 24 hr. When I told her I was unsatisfied and wanted a partial refund she refused and argued with me. They didn’t provide a good mirror for me to see my hair after it was done and i felt rushed out because of the other ladies waiting that i didn’t get a good look at my hair before paying and leaving. Overall i paid $30,000 which is about $200 USD for a hairstyle that will be taken out in a week.

Furthermore, she had me and 2 other ladies triple booked causing her to rush in my hair and the other ladies having to wait. And to top it all off, she had 4 kids in a tiny Japanese apartment running around screaming, bumping the raggedy chair she had me sitting on. The staff was friendly but if you are African American looking for cornrows this isn’t the place. I came with my hair washed and conditioned but they didn’t rinse out my hair. They didn’t blow dry my hair before starting. They did not have braiding gel for African Americans, claimed their braiding gel would dry white if they used it. Tried their best to braid it tight but it was loose and uneven. After being finished, they did not use any mousse to hold the braids. Great little hairshop/salon. Communication in English and Japanese is very good. The hair stylists there have experience working on both Japanese and Foreigner hair types and can do various types of hairstyles and coloring. Scheduling is also very accommodating.
