I really do not go out of my way to review things often but I had to for this! This is seriously my favorite ramen place ever. I’ve had lots of good ramen both in Japan and in the US, including many of the “famous” places, but I stopped in this place totally by accident on one of my visits to Tokyo and now I go out of my way to go every single time I’m there. The noodles are cooked perfectly, pork is delicious, and the spicy miso is the perfect level of spice to me - not too spicy but not too mild either. For extra good measure, I ordered additional Chashu toppings (2 slices of chicken and 2 slices of pork).
Overall a good bowl! Tanaka sobaten's shouyu Ramen has the orthodox, "straight-from-a-textbook" taste. The menma blends well with the soup so you get a sweeter taste. The noodles were not too firm (to my liking) but it was alright. Chashu toppings were fresh and tasted good.

Read moreAfter a bit of rough start managed to order for the whole group of 8. The lady was a bit annoyed with the kids, but all settled after the food arrived in few minutes. Opted to the spicy 🌶️ ramen and did not disappoint. It is Chinese style and I topped it up with half a spoon of the paprika on the table and after half soup done the place became quite warm 😂. Anyhow. Managed to finish the lot and left with a full stomach!...
