Feb 2023 - Paddle boarding and Snorkeling at the Arch-THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP!
We originally booked the experience for 10:30am, but were contacted the day before via text about going in early at 8:00am due to weather, boat crowds, and waves. Despite it being earlier, we decided to go for it. And it was well worth it!
We met at the beach at 8:00am and found our tour guide Jorge. No one else booked the tour at the same time we did, so we had an unofficial private tour which was nice. Jorge was so incredibly kind, personable, and clear in helping us get comfortable with paddle boarding before we set off toward the arch. As promised, the ocean was clear, calm and peaceful; perfect for paddle boarding. On the way there, Jorge shared the amazing history of the land and some great local stories as well. After taking some photos by the arch, we snorkeled in a nearby lagoon area and saw tons of fish. Again, Jorge was so helpful and patient with us in learning how to snorkel as well! He honestly made us feel at ease and right at home. He even recommend a great taco place afterward, which we checked out and loved!
Overall, we were so happy to have experienced paddle boarding and snorkeling with Cabo Nature and Jorge! Would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to get a bit of a rewarding workout at one of Cabo's tourist landmarks. I recommend bringing a waterproof camera or GoPro to take the best shots! Your belongings are stored safely in their car, as you can only bring waterproof items with you while you paddleboard.
Note: While Cabo Nature isn't as 'big' of an organization as some of the others in Cabo San Lucas, their quality and care is top notch! After reading through the different tour details, the only difference seems to be hotel pick-up. Our hotel was close to the beach so we were happy to save some money and walk ourselves :)

Read moreCabo nature is the best your gonna find. We chose them for a few reasons: woman owned, educated in marine biology and smaller more intimate tour. They are exemplary in all regards. We weren't sure what to expect as this was our first tour and first time in Cabo. They made the entire experience so much better. We were in a small group even for a small tour company. (6 total guests and our guide Maria and Oscar the Captain.) once the formalities and safety briefing were over we headed out and checked out the Cabo arch and then a mural they were a part of. Right after we immediately saw dolphins, it was a good sized pod we saw babies within the group as well. We headed out and saw a humpback group of males chasing a female. This was nice but since it was so close to shore and everyone was close all the other boats and tours swarmed the action. Our tour company is highly ethical and about the natural order of the wildlife so they decided to depart from the area and look for more. They know exactly what they are doing. We were on to a second sighting right away. This wasn't as action packed but it was nice to know they could find things and knew the signs. We headed to waters in-between Cabo San Lucas and Cabo San Jose, we got to see more humpback whales and a while later we were onto a pack of grey whales. This was not typical activities according to the guide they typically spot plenty of wildlife but not to this extent and range. All I have to say is my dream to see whales like this has been achieved. Thank you Cabo Nature,...

An incredibly well-orchestrated guided tour... from pre-visit communication, crystal clear instructions on how to get there, starting perfectly on time, the natural enthusiasm and the sheer depth of knowledge of Aurora - our marine biologist tour guide, and Mireya - our Captain... For veteran travelers like us, it has set a new bar in guided tours. And we had 14 whale sightings with some as up-close as 30 feet A few things to note that make Cabo Nature different... a. The communication and explanations are contextual and precise. e.g. the flat glass surface when a whale slaps its tail and dives is the trail they follow b. The excitement of these girl professionals is infectious...their involvement and excitement at showing us the whales was as high as our watching... they make it a shared experience c. After the initial part, these ladies take us away from the crowded places and scout for (and find) whales, where we are not crowded by other excursions...they turn the trip into an adventure And of course most important of all - smiles and assistance without being intrusive... Highly recommend Aurora and Mireya...
