I wanted to give Rich a good review so badly and was so excited to work with a local jeweler, but I was would be remiss if I did not warn anyone of the unfortunate experience we had with this jeweler.

I originally reached out to him in early October to have a custom necklace made for my mother for my wedding. At first Rich seemed very responsive and assured me he would have absolutely zero issue with getting this necklace done by November. We spent time and effort to communicate relatively frequently over the course of the month to work to design and customize this piece.

The day we agreed on in November comes and he asks to move it to the following week, which was totally fine with me. I reached out to him the day of to make sure we were still good to meet at his office. He never answered me but I figured he would be there. I drove the hour to find nobody in his office. He then ghosted me for a few weeks.

I honestly was concerned something had happened to him and my fiance decided to reach out to him to see if he could get any proof of life and he ended up setting up an appointment (to which Rich did not show up to but he did call him back afterwards.) Rich sent my fiance a video of the final product of our necklace and apologized and asked if he could call me. He never did.

For whatever the reason, from here on out, Rich would only answer my fiances communications. He was able to set up a time to meet with Rich on Dec 31. My fiance called Rich the day before and the morning of to make sure Rich would actually be there for the appointment time. Rich did not answer his texts or either of his calls.

My fiancé tried once more to see if I could come get the necklace and he never answered.

At this point I threw a Hail Mary and very kindly sent Rich a text essentially begging him to let me come pick up the piece before we left town for a month or to courteously let me know if I need to look into a different jeweler. All to which he never bothered answering.

I really didn’t want to have to redo this whole process with a new jeweler and the necklace is quite literally already made. I tried so hard to give Rich every opportunity to sell me this custom design, but alas, here we are.

Possibly we just caught Rich in a bad 3 month period, but the complete lack of respect for our time, not showing up to appointments, telling us we can meet one day and never answering when we tried to confirm day of, and just overall lack of transparency ultimately was incredibly disappointing and inexcusable. I would very seriously not recommend utilizing...

This review is to reiterate my fiancées review below and to document my individual experience. I really wanted to work with Rich but his constant fall-throughs and periods of ghosting have left my fiancée and I months behind schedule and with no choice but to find another jeweler.

The final straw was when I scheduled an appointment to pick up our pieces on Dec 31st and when after following up the day before and day of, Rich responded last minute to move it to Friday. This would be no big deal, however, he never offered a time to meet on Friday and never responded to calls or texts to confirm we were meeting.

We were lucky to be planning our pieces in advance because if we needed these pieces on our agreed upon dates, Rich would have left us high and dry. I would highly suggest finding...

Rich is so great! He was kind enough to fix my daughter’s sapphire and diamond earring when the center stone fell out and now it’s perfect again. He even brought it to us! She is so thrilled!
