The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the sales team at the Lenox Mall location is genuinely fantastic—knowledgeable, kind, and helpful every time I’ve visited. They’ve done their best, and I appreciate them for that.
The real issue is with Blue Nile's backend operations and communication, which fall far short of what you’d expect from a luxury jeweler. I purchased my now-wife’s wedding band on March 2nd. At the time of purchase, I was told it would be ready for pickup on March 17th—giving us enough time ahead of our March 22nd wedding in Las Vegas.
When I went to the store on March 17th, I was told the ring wasn’t there. I showed the salesperson that my online portal still said March 17th. That date quietly changed after my visit to the store to March 20th—when I returned to the store one last time before heading to the airport on the 20th. The ring was still not there.
We had to buy a “travel” ring so my wife could have something for the ceremony. So not only did we miss having the actual ring in our wedding photos, but any seasonal savings I had from buying early were now irrelevant. And worst of all, there was no communication from Blue Nile about the delay until March 26th, when I finally received an email saying the ring had shipped and would be ready for pickup on March 27th—five days after the wedding.

I gave birth to our daughter a few months ago, and despite being back to my pre-pregnancy weight, my fingers never went back to their previous size. I called to explain the situation and have my rings resized, and was told that there was a good chance they would not be able to resize my engagement ring accordingly. I asked what my options were, and was told that if they could not resize my ring, there was really nothing they could do. The person I spoke to said that my ring was “worthless” to them and they could offer me only a couple hundred dollars. They also mentioned that I would still be responsible for paying off the jewelry, even though it isn’t worth anything to them, and I’d never be able to wear it again. I ended up taking my rings to another jeweler, who had no problem resizing them and was amazing throughout the entire process. I called back later and asked to speak to a supervisor to express my concern, but they never called me back. I called in again several times and they had me speak to another person in customer relations who just told me thank you for the feedback.
