Exceptional Spa Experience at ESI—A Must-Visit for Quality and Care

I was introduced to ESI by a student, Siya, whose warm and uplifting energy is truly remarkable. She embodies professionalism and a commitment to wellness, which set a positive tone for my visit. Arriving at 9 AM, I was promptly greeted by Alicia and Lisa, both of whom displayed exemplary customer service—welcoming, attentive, and thorough in explaining the array of services available. Their approach immediately instilled confidence in the level of care and expertise I could expect.

Ashley (or possibly Alicia, as I may have reversed their roles) performed my service with precision, skill, and an evident passion for her craft. Equally impressive was the instructor, whose expertise and guidance ensured a seamless and top-tier experience. Their professionalism and attentiveness were on par with any high-end spa I’ve experienced, making the session both relaxing and results-driven.

The facility itself is pristine—well-maintained, orderly, and exuding a vibrant, professional atmosphere that speaks to the institution’s high standards. It is evident that the students and staff take immense pride in their work and in fostering a positive experience for clients.

However, one significant drawback marred what would have otherwise been an impeccable experience—Yucka (and I must say, the name is fitting). From the outset, I observed her demeanor as nothing short of off-putting. She arrived notably late, well after I had been settled in, and carried herself with a visible lack of enthusiasm or professionalism. No greeting, no eye contact, no courtesy—just a scowl that never lifted. Her presence exuded negativity, creating an unnecessary disruption in what should have been a wholly relaxing environment. To put it bluntly, had I encountered her first, I would have had serious reservations about remaining for my appointment, let alone returning in the future.

That said, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I am pleased to have visited during my stay at the Ritz-Carlton while in town from Southern California. ESI operates at a commendable standard, and aside from one glaring misstep in staff demeanor, they deliver an experience that rivals top-tier spa establishments. First, both the spa and the nail salon appeared clean and organized. The students appeared to embody professionalism and cooperation. In the spa, the environment was tranquil and the energy felt good. The nail techs appeared to be of good spirit and seemed to get along very well with their instructor. The music playlist was great, as well. Overall, I was surprised by the size of the spa and nail/hair salon and I was surprised by how unlike a school this venue appeared. When you pass by it in the mall, you think it is a small store front-type of business. Lo, it is not. This place is as professional as a regular spa. I believe the staff as maybe even more professional than you might find in a hotel or outside spa because they aim to perform their tasks per policy and they are not concerned about upselling for additional compensation. I felt confident and satisfied with my treatments, overall. Second, my Spa technician epitomized professionalism and expertise. I truly appreciated her kind and soft demeanor. She clear stated everything she was going to do. She constantly ensured my comfort, and she shared information that highlighted her expertise. I felt comfortable with her and would patron her after graduation from her program. Third, my only complaint is about my mani pedi. My complaint is more against the policy of not cutting skin, like cuticles (I hate having cuticles, but I get that it is not necessary to cut them). I wish the school allowed the nail techs to cut dead skin and cuticles. That is what I most enjoy in a pedicure. Still, I understand the reasoning behind it and this will not prevent me from seeking a really basic mani pedi in the future. Overall, I highly recommend this venue.
