Serena at Clement Lash is incredible.
She's the kindest person - super patient, understanding and attentive. She has an excellent eye for detail and walked me through all the options that they offer in style, materials, lengths, curl type, fan types, color options, etc. She was super accommodating with my preferences, and where I was unsure she made me feel like I could trust her suggestions and try things out. For example: in our first consultation, she suggested a slightly flatter curl to match the upward angle of projection of my natural lashes and eye shape, rather than go with the most common/popular curl types. She thought more of a curl could bump and irritate my eyelids and she was absolutely right and she's proven repeatedly that she has excellent taste (just check out the incredible bathroom they have.. omg!). She takes notes of each client's preferences and remembers exactly what adjustments are needed to make each set better and better.
Serena's amazing personality and professionalism is matched by her precision, gentleness and skill. I'm not one to fall asleep on the table and instead always try to figure out what she's doing. But Serena is SOOOOOO gentle and delicate when working that it's really hard to tell what she's doing due to very minimal touch, sound or smell and is just like being kissed by butterflies for a couple hours in a relaxing spa. There's never any pinching, or hard prodding, and even removal of adhesives are not painful and I can be quite sensitive to some adhesives and soaps..
I also love that Clement Lash also offered a complimentary glue test patch prior to the first appt. It's such a testament to how much care and consideration Serena and her team offer. Glue allergy or reactivity is a real thing and considering how important and sensitive eyes are, I was shocked that this is not a common offering. Several of my girl friends have gotten their lashes done elsewhere and not one had ever been offered glue tests.
I'm very lucky that I am not allergic to the glue that Serena uses. I have heard that her techniques and materials are latest technology, less irritating and more luxurious and that has certainly proved to be the case. My lashes are so comfortable and I don't have to baby them like I hear most people have to, but I still have great retention. No itchiness and there is only irritation when I accidentally crack open my eyes during the service (oops!). In contrast, some of my girl friends have eyelid swelling, and extreme tearing, redness and irritation for DAYS after each appointment. Serena is very careful about the fine balancing act between optimal retention and minimal irritation/sensitivity and as I've learned that each person is a little different, hence her excellent notes.
Serena's work is like enhancing and amplifying nature, not covering it up like a bad wig. "My Lashes, But Better." And the best part? LOWER LASHES. You guys... total game changer!! Do you have any idea how odd/fake it looks to have heavy and uniform upper lashes and very little underneath?? The addition of beautifully feathered and blended lower lashes in various lengths on the lower lash line is the perfect finishing touch and IMHO totally necessary to complete the package. Long and luscious lower lashes makes it look like I'm really just that blessed with naturally lovely lashes and NO ONE has guessed that my lashes are extensions. I've gotten tons of comments like "oh, your eyes are so pretty!" or "I love your makeup today! Your eyelashes really pop. What mascara are you using?" And as someone who regularly dances and teaches a partnered social dance, trust me when I say people are up close and within inches of my face, ALL THE TIME.

Read moreI've never left a review before, but Iâm really disappointed with my experience here⌠At first, everything was great! I had a consultation where we discussed what I wanted, and I felt really heard and understood. But when I got my lashes done, they just werenât what I expected. I left the salon feeling self-conscious, hoping theyâd grow on me, but they never did.
I reached out to customer service and asked if I could have them redone. The person I spoke to was very kind and said it wouldnât be a problem. They even booked me an appointment for the next day, free of charge.
When I returned, the original lash tech redid them. I apologized for not liking them the first time, and she reassured me by saying, âItâs no problem! It happens all the time.â That made me feel comfortable. This time, the lashes looked great, and I left happy.
However, when I later tried to book a refill online, I found that the business was blocked on my account. I called customer service again, and the same person said heâd make the appointment and that Iâd receive a confirmation email. But I never got one.
I called back the next day and was told that the stylist was now âuncomfortableâ working on my lashes, so the appointment had never been made. I was confused but asked if I could at least come in to have the lashes removed. He said, âWell⌠theyâll shed off eventually.â I just said âOkay⌠thank you,â and hung up.
I went to the salon in person the next day to try to make an appointment, but when I gave them my name, the employee told me it was now out of their hands and that I should talk to HR. My mom ended up speaking with someone in HR, who said the owner would call her later that day but no one ever followed up.
Now Iâm left with lashes that are just falling out on their own (along with my real lashes.) Overall, the lack of communication and follow through has been really frustrating and disappointing.
Whatâs most upsetting is that my mom and I really thought we found a great lash place until they began treating me like this. I wanted to schedule these appointments so my mom and I can come because we both loved my lashes a lot. But now that sheâs noticed that Iâm being treated like this, we both lost the passion to.
Update: Iâd like to provide further context due to the lack of information being provided by staff. Clement Lashes Customer Service has never personally given me any information regarding the matter of my ârelationshipâ with the team. They have only said that one specific employee felt âuncomfortableâ with me because I requested a lash repair that better suited me. I was never formally notified that I wasnât allowed to have any services done by anyone in the studio. Based on the call, I was only notified that I had made one employee âuncomfortable.â Along with that, my mom had never received a call from the owner (of which she was promised) on August 1st. I walked into the studio on August 2nd because I was under the impression that I would still be âallowedâ to book as long as it isnât with the original stylist I was going to. None of this was communicated and I genuinely wanted to know what was going on when I walked into the studio but it was kept confidential towards me. Things werenât being communicated unless I called them firsthand and even if I did, customer service wouldnât tell me the full picture.
Iâm communicating this purely because I donât want my character to be defamed online. This is my first time ever reviewing something and Iâm sad things were communicated to me through an online review rather than in-person or on call⌠I have no hatred towards this company but Iâm truly sad about the way theyâve handled this and how theyâve...
Read morePros ⌠Caitlin is a nice lash artist Cons ⌠There are so many great lash places but Clement staff treats you with arrogance, as if they are the only choice. I chose to come here only because my career frequents me in Bellevue. The staff are not personable at all and do not offer communication post lash treatment. I had the unfortunate experience of being placed with the owner as an artist since they frequently changed my appointment times to accommodate other clients. She charged me more than Caitlyn as a self proclaimed âexpert artistâ even though I originally booked with Caitlyn. My eyes burned from the amount of glue the owner used and my lashes did not replicate the mapping Caitlyn used. I did share my displeasure at that time, not knowing she was the owner of Clement Lash. Needless to say, I feel in the end I was retaliated against by the owner since my touch up appointment was canceled due to their reasoning of me not being a âcompliant client of cleaning my lashes properly after several warningsâ. This is laughable because no one even talked to me at any of my appointments unless I asked a question. They were like robots. I was never warned. The amount of conceited behavior from this place is appalling. Spend your money elsewhere.
Update: CLEMENT LASH lied in response to my google review and I can verify through personal testimony and experience that all of this statement IS Fact! I have proof through text in my interaction with the owner as well. I canât say Iâm not surprised they would stoop as...
