ALAMO - a huge DISAPPOINTMENT.
Get this: I rented a car for 10 days for $ 645,09. On the tenth day I called Alamo to ask for a 3 day extension. They said the extension is approved with no extra charges. Never received an email confirmation. When I returned the car on the agreed upon date, the total amount to pay was $ 2.938,87 (4,6 times more!!!). A lot of money, right?
I've been calling them every week since and they would say: “your case got escalated to corporate management. Wait 48 hours for your refund (of $ 2.293,78).”
48 h passed and no refund. The last time I called a week ago and asked to talk to a supervisor, they told me they escalated the case to the highest level possible and that manager will call me back within 24 h. Guess what, never got the call.

Fui até o local para pegar o veículo e me deparei com o veículo Nissan Armada retornei ao balcão e novamente o funcionário disse que seria o valor já pago anteriormente pela locação e que não havia outro veículo para locação. Após entregar o veículo na data de hoje 19/07/2018 me apresentaram uma conta adicional de $463,65 dólares sendo que já havia pago o valor total no ato da reserva de $337,64

The lady who assisted me was super nice and professional. Poor thing was alone at the counter. My rental experience was dishonest and jeopardized my safety. I didn’t realize my van rental that I was driving across country had break problems. It was making a loud noise whenever they were in use. And I was told the car was serviced and inspected prior to me renting it. I had to fill the tires up which were also low on air.
