Update: I actually just might take legal action. I started reading the reviews and I found another review about this exact issue and clearly it was never addressed. Maybe they do need to learn the hard way.
I am not usually one to leave a negative review but I think it’s important for people to know. I also called to speak to a manager but the number is invalid so I also sent an email.
Yesterday we were in Boston for my daughters 14th birthday. We stopped by this shop to grab a snack before our next escape room. My daughter grabbed the chai seed pudding thinking it was normal option. She sat down to eat it and alerted us that her throat was itchy. So naturally we asked the workers what was in it and sure enough they said Cashews which is deathly allergic to. There were no labels on any other their food options which is illegal and you would think if they were going to add an abnormal pudding ingredient they would label it.
3 hours later we’re having to call 911, my daughter was given an epiPen, IV Benadryl, and sent to the hospital where spent the next five hours.
Thank God she is okay. I could take serious legal action against this store but I won’t be doing that because I don’t know the owners situation and I would hate to ruins someone’s coffee shop dreams but I will leave this review so that someone may see it and buy with caution.
Now I will be left with hospital bills and that’s the...
Read moreI recently visited Koko Coffee at 255 State Street in Boston, and it was a delightful experience. This cozy café, located near the New England Aquarium, offers a charming atmosphere with a European flair.
Matcha Latte: I ordered their matcha latte, and it was a standout. The balance between the earthy matcha and the creamy milk was perfect, resulting in a smooth and flavorful drink. It's evident that they use quality ingredients, and the preparation was meticulous.
Pastries: I also tried their marbled pound cake, which was moist and rich in flavor. It paired wonderfully with the matcha latte, making for a satisfying treat. Other patrons have praised their chocolate croissant as well, noting its freshness and delicious taste .
Ambiance: The café is small, with limited seating, but it adds to the intimate and relaxed vibe. It's a great spot for a quick coffee break or to grab a pastry on the go. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant visit.
Overall, Koko Coffee is a hidden gem in Boston. If you're in the area and looking for a quality matcha latte and delectable pastries, it's definitely...
Read moreI actually had an interesting time while I was waiting for another event to start. I ordered a drip coffee ☕, which someone else grabbed, a chocolate croissant 🥐 and I tried a French Madeleine, which had a lemon 🍋 flavor. My coffee was quickly remade. Everything tasted good 👍 and there was a lot of chocolate in my croissant. Seasonal outdoor seating available. Sparrows were visiting everyone who was outside. At least it was not 🐿️ squirrels. I gave a tiny piece of my croissant to a sparrow and it picked it up and flew away. A few minutes later, it returned. Everyone, including myself, were taking pictures of the sparrows that visited. I met the regional manager and he was friendly and was even working behind the counter serving customers. He said he recently moved to Massachusetts and was getting used to Boston. He oversees other Koko Coffee cafes and really likes his job 👍. Good coffee, food, service and sparrows! I...
