My name is Noah and I’m writing this under my wife’s account. My wife and I just dined here, 4/7/24 from 2-3pm. Food was fine. Service needs a write up. Whichever servers were working during the aforementioned time slot have an attitude problem. Service was slow and disrespectful. We were ready to order but the waitress somewhat rudely insisted she was only taking drink orders. She took so long to return we almost got up and left before ordering and then she was there in the nick of time. I would’ve overlooked it all and left the 20% built in gratuity with no qualms until it was time to pay. After again sitting too long waiting, the check was brought out. When we tried to pay the waitress said cash only like we were causing a problem trying to pay with card. When my wife said the menu said they take card, the waitress said their system was down. Obviously this would have been a pretty basic good thing to know before ordering. When I told the waitress we didn’t have enough cash, she said there is a ATM around the corner. It’s hard to convey tone and mannerism in text, but the way she said it was ridiculous and unprofessional. They had scribbled cash only at the bottom of a board on the wall in relatively small cursive lettering. I noticed on my way to find an ATM. The waitress provided no directions. I found an ATM not too far away and tried to stick my card in but it was out of order. I went back and told the waitress the ATM was out of order. She told me to go to a different one. I asked her for directions and she obliged. I was very tempted to walk out on the bill at this point, which I have never done in my life, but the restaurant doesn’t deserve the loss, just the servers. In retrospect, we shouldn’t have paid the included gratuity. So I spent 20 minutes walking around in the hot sun looking for an ATM, paid a $3.50 ATM service fee, and never once received an apology or thank you for any of the inconvenience. Never once did anyone apologize for any inconvenience throughout our entire dining experience. When I returned and paid our bill, no one said a word. They didn’t even say goodbye or thank...

Carbs, salsa, cheese and meat....I'm addicted, and could never do those crazy diets that everyone around me seems to be trying because Greengos makes that impossible with their delicious food. The closest that I'll ever get to dieting is maybe substituting tofu into a cantina bowl but that's pretty much it.

This is the tastiest Mexican food that you were going to find in the US Virgin Islands served up with the best attitudes around from the wait staff. If you want better food you might as well go to Mexico. I love, love, love their Cantina Bowls (cilantro rice, beans, veggies and chicken) and chicken enchilada styled burritos. Both for sure always two meals for me, and I can take the left overs for lunch the next day. The chips and salsa are delicious as well as the chicken quesadillas.

My only two gripes about this place is that they charge extra ($0.50-$2.00) for Guacamole/Sour Cream/ Salsa Jalapenos which to me, you have to get for any thing that you order here and that during the day if you're sitting outside (which is the best place to sit) its boiling hot. My hubby and I love their shark face sauce (on a scale of 1-10 for heat its at a 13), so very spicy + hot outside = no Bueno. The drinks however, especially the mango margarita, will cool you down and if you check in to this location with Yelp you'll get a free house infused tequila shot!

Parking is just always tricky in this area. I hope that that after the government finishes building the bridge to now where and the garage at Red Hook that they think of how they are going to increase parking spots in this area. If you can't find street parking on Main Street, go to Government Hill and walk over.

If you are wondering if they spelled Gringos wrong it was done on purpose. Apparently they named the place "Greengos" to emphasize their commitment to going green, using recycled materials and contributing to saving the environment.... so its food served up...

We enjoyed this quaint food spot right off the waterfront in the alley. It’s best to park on the waterfront and walk across the street as there is no parking back there. You can sit outside or inside. We choose to sit in with the air and the decor inside was pretty cool, it was giving day of the dead lol with beautiful artwork. We had a kind and patient server who assisted with recommendations and accommodated our request as newbies. There was a live band so that was a nice unexpected touch! Now for the stuff you want—food review lol. Food is expensive on the island in general—you really need a food budget, this was quite a shock to me. For 2 of us: 1 meal, 1 drink each + 15% gratuity automatically added and a 3% card fee was roughly $75. Chips and salsa is available with a charge so it’s best to order a meal that comes with it. Everything tasted fresh. I was on the fence about getting the beans on my meal but they are delicious and I’m glad I tried them on the side! We had the burritos which is VERY feeling and flavorful so that’s my recommendation. For a $2 up charge you can make it like an enchilada getting cheese and red sauce on top—kinda of the best of both worlds. If you like heat, you’ll enjoy their ghost pepper hot sauce. The burritos are stuffed so it was difficult to finish which is a good problem to have. The frozen margs were ok. Nice size but only ok for me. Perhaps if I got top shelf it would be more enjoyable or maybe even a different flavor, it could use more flavor (mango) to me but my SO who is a rare drinker thoroughly enjoyed his (strawberry). I would definitely recommend and come back when we get...

We have been to St John’s one and hoping here also have a same experience. Foods- I’d say the nachos with chicken is very well, size is good for 2 people as entrees if you are expecting about 70% full. The mahi fish tacos in this location are just fair, very salty. Kind of wasting and killing the taste of the fresh ingredients. Services- Not sure if it is busy when we got there, like 2 servers needs to take care 8-9 tables, they are just rushing around and will not spend more than one second to wait for you to finish your sentence. But you will see them have time to text under the bar stations or cashier desk. I’d go back to St. John’s location rather than here. Disappointed :(

Mexican/Caribbean vibe with great food and atmosphere, friendly staff, great location and seating options for a smaller place; outdoor and indoor. They make their own tortilla chips and corn tortillas which are delicious and one shell has consistency of two so they don’t double them up, they also make their own hot salsa which is combo of ghost pepper and other peppers. We all had pulled pork for meat and it was very tender and flavorful. My pain killer was refreshing and my wife liked her margarita. I would definitely go back for lunch to try more of the menu.
