My husband & I have been shopping at Sun Sapphire for about 1 year and find the owners Adam & wife Nicole extremely friendly, kind and professional. Adam is a Gemologist that provided incredible jewelry design for my husband’s new wedding band to match a watch he had just purchase. He also designed gorgeous Emerald & Diamond earrings to match my Emerald $ Diamond rings, which I have not yet purchased. Adam also did terrific jewelry repair for both of us. Nicole & her instructors create amazing Fused & Stained glass they sell in the store which you can spend hours shopping for yourself & gifts. They also provide a range of classes & workshops to learn how to make Stained & Fused glass while learning more advanced tecniques, appointments necessary!. Sun Sapphires is such a gem—pun totally intended! My daughter and I took a glass art class here and had an absolute blast. The experience was hands-on, fun, and so rewarding. She loved it so much that she came back with a friend to do another class, and the pieces they brought home were beautiful and full of personality.

But the real standout moment for me was having my wedding ring redesigned here. After 17 years and three broken settings, I was ready for a fresh start. Adam was amazing to work with—patient, creative, and deeply knowledgeable. Did I mention patient? We collaborated on a new design that feels meaningful and totally “me,” and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

A couple of my friends and I booked a studio class in Nicole's fused glass workshop. I chose to make dragonfly garden stakes and have them mailed to me because I wasn't going to be in Durango long enough to pick them up. They arrived today and I have to say they exceeded my expectations! I had such a fun time in the workshop, out of the 3 of us, none of us made the same things. And all of us had such a good time. A fabulous vacation and workshop experience! Creating fused glass art with friends in a beautiful place like Colorado. It was so much fun to learn a new skill and let my creativity flow. I'm sure my beautiful dragonfly garden stakes will be a unique and happy addition to my garden. What a fantastic memory of good times with friends while traveling through...
