Where to begin with this place. Just used this place this past weekend. Very poor product and service. Slow, slow, slow. Employees here have zero sense of urgency even when thereās a long line of customers. The employees know almost nothing about the skis if youāre doing demo skis. My family waited in line much longer than we ever have for skis with other rental places. I even booked our equipment online before our trip. I rented Demo skis. They were extremely worn and banged up to the point of being ridiculous. Patched all the damage with apoxy/resin or whatever and it was all up and down the front of the skis. My kids even commented at how bad they looked, and they normally donāt even notice that kind of thing. I went back in after the second day in the afternoon to exchange out the skis for a different brand and length. I figured I would be in and out bc almost nobody was there. Myself and another guy in line. They had two people doing fittings with 10-15 other employees walking around leisurely seemingly to make sure everything was put away so they could leave right at 7:00. Mind you it was around 5:30 this was happening. I waited for 20 mins and left. Gave the paper to a girl at the register area and said just forget it and kept the skis I already had. We also unexpectedly had to rent our daughterās helmet and they charged me $65 for a helmet for 3 days of use and that was with the epic discount? How is it you can add boots for $5/day to your rental package per person but a helmet is $20/day? Makes zero sense if you know what a helmet costs. Worst ski rental experience weāve ever had. I lost a buckle on my toe strap and wouldn't have been able to ride without it. They treated me with kindness, courtesy, respect and gave me white glove service. I'd leave 10 stars if I could. I was in and out and back on the slopes in no time. I come to Park City often and have been here numerous times over the years and always had a great experience. The equipment, services provided and employees are all top notch. I always stay in Canyons Village and go to this place all the time. I demoed a Burton Custom 162W Snowboard in 2017 from here and ended up buying it. They still wax and take care of it for me. I live in Florida and love coming to Park City and this is one of the reasons why. Kaden is wise beyond his years for only being 21 and so was the other gentleman at only 18. Give those kids a raise. I was at Jackson Hole a month ago and this shop is head and shoulders above the one in JH. Do yourself a favor and go here for rentals, repairs and all other services. My mom, dad and I are all different height and weight and all had the same length skis, itās clear they donāt customize at all. On top of that, on my momās first day skiing she had a terrible accident and broke her leg in 3 places. We went to return her and my dadās gear and let them know that they would not be needing the remaining 3 days. They let us know that it would be fine and we would get reimbursed, to just reach out.
We heard from them a few days after getting home because they accused my husband of never returning his boots. We had to email back and forth with them multiple times and asked them to check their camera footage which showed my husband walking out in socks after returning his boots. After several emails accusing us of not returning his boots they āfound themā. At that point we responded to remind them that we had still not received the refund for my parents rental and since then the assistant manager, Daniel Silkowski, has completely stopped responding (itās been almost 2 weeks and we have followed up 3 times).
