I was a waitress and I amusually very forgiving of wait staff, but this was the absolute worst service I have ever had. We wanted to eat on the patio and 90% of the tables were free, but they said it would be 20-30 min wait. We understood this might be due to staffing, so no big deal. They sat us in 25 min. Then, it took 10 min for them to come back to get our drink order. We ordered drinks and food, because we had plenty of time to look at the menu. My kids got their drinks in 10 minute, but my husband and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for ours. Our food came about 5 minutes later, and none of us were offered silverware. We didn't notice until after our server left that they did not provide silverware, so my daughter ) the only one who needed silverware as she had a salad , patiently waited for the server to come back. We were having good conversation, so when I looked over at my daughter 30 minutes later (no server in all that time) she had eaten her salad with her fingers! Then the server finally came to give us the bill and we asked for water (never offered. She filled my sons soda glass with water and didn't even ask if anyone else wanted some (I had tried to ask for some but she ran off) so I grabbed my daughters empty soda glass and asked for water. There was about a quarter of a the glass of water left in the pitcher. She poured that for me and did not offer to get me more, or even better, to bring me a fresh glass! Then, when she brought our credit card back, we asked for some boxes. I took 10 min to get those, and I had hummus and needed a spoon. I asked her to bring one. 10 minutes later, we left. No spoon. No apology or even acknowledgement of how bad her service was. The view was great and the food was okay, but I will...
Read moreMediocre food combined with inattentive servers made for less than ideal experience.
We were seated by a young man who was more interested in his phone than seating us at a table.
We sat down and 10 minutes later A server came to our table to ask us if we would like something to drink. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and my friend asked for water.
~10 minutes later, the server came back And brought water. After a total of 25 minutes at the restaurant we were asked for our food order which we placed. I asked about my wine order and she said she would return with it.
A few minutes later, she had not returned, so I went to the bar to ask if I could order a glass of wine. The bartender said because I had placed an order with our server that she could not help me with getting it even though I explained that our server and not Brought it out after a significant amount of time.
While I was at the bar, I looked over to see many of the servers huddled in the prep area on their phones.
I had ordered a southwestern salad and my friend ordered a salad with salmon on it. They were both bland and the ingredients seemed old, which was odd for a restaurant that was crowded.
As I finished up my salad the wine came out, but we needed to get back on the slopes so I asked the server to please return it because we were going to leave. Our server responded indifferently
The whole experience was poor, and staff were completely unapologetic regarding our experience.
If you’re going to pay a good money for slopeside food, the food should be decent and staff competent.
We will not return. And if you are reading this review, please read the other reviews which have similar...

Whether you choose to dine indoors, with a view of the skiers gliding down the slopes, or prefer the sun-kissed patio while sipping a glass of wine, the ambiance was undeniably delightful..
Our lunch at the Red Tail Grill left us with mixed impressions. The hamburger was flavorful, hitting the right notes. However, the menu lacks diversity, which did not allow us to choose different foods..
What stood out most were the waitstaff—their discontent was palpable. Unhappy waiters can always mar any dining experience. Unfortunately, this was also evident when we went to the restaurant. We experienced much more delay in service, especially during the lunch rush when skiers filled the restaurant..
Comparing the Red Tail Grill to its neighboring establishments, The Farm Restaurant and the Drafts Burger Bar (DBB), reveals differences. Both the Farm and DBB were much better in terms of service and culinary offerings. In contrast, the Red Grill, though pleasant, falls short..
Apart from these two, as being another neighboring establishment, Edge Steak Restaurant is already an upscale fine-dining restaurant, and it is not even possible to compare it—not only with this restaurant but with any other restaurant in the province..
In summary, while the Red Grill Restaurant provides a scenic setting, it struggles to match the variety of food and service quality found elsewhere. For discerning diners seeking better service and a diverse menu for lunch, exploring the Farm or DBB might be a more...
