There are two sushi restaurants located in Helen, Georgia, Bangkok Haus and Spice 55. I have eaten at both locations on numerous occasions, sad to say I will no longer be visiting Spice 55, Bangkok Haus is in a better location, more parking, better atmosphere, more seating and most importantly the "BEST" food! If you want to stop and have great food and fast service this is your place. I eat there 3 to 5 times per week and I've never had a bad meal or bad service! If you want to try something that's really great order the tuna baskets with extra avocado and top them with a little chili sauce you will not regret it and all of their rolls are amazing!
** This is an update 7/2/24 unfortunately things have changed at both locations Spice 55 has turned their entire business model around and serving amazing dishes. Bangkok Haus has fallen off a cliff as far as service, to go orders and orders in house. They have started to skimp on portions on my last three visits, messed up to go orders which is totally unacceptable. To my surprise going back to Spice 55 has been a pleasant experience, they remodeled the entire inside and the food is amazing!!!!! After walking around Helen for the day, a friend and I decided to stop by Bangkok Haus to try. It was odd seeing Thai cuisine here in the woods of Georgia, so why not.
The Food: Since we weren't as hungry, we opted for some sushi and an appetizer. For the appetizer, I went with the "Crispy Calamari". And for sushi, I went with the "Spicy Tuna Roll" and the "Double Eel Roll". Surprisingly, their sushi was pretty good! The fish tasted very good, I can tell it was of some quality. The rice to protein ratio was perfect as well. I'd definitely recommend ordering a roll if you like Sushi.
The Service: Service was great! Staff here are friendly and attentive. Even while we were outside on their patio.
The Atmosphere: Restaurant was nicely decorated. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall a nice and clean resturant.
Overall, a 4/5! Definitely recommend giving Bangkok Haus a try! Sushi was good, staff were friendly. Next time I'm in Helen, I'll be sure to stop by again and try their...

The menu was diverse without being overwhelming, separated into two categories: Thai + Sushi. Everything we tried was so fresh and full of flavor - they truly have the flavor combinations and ingredients down. The ambiance was relaxing, modern-meets-homey and very roomy with plenty of seating at tables and at the bar. They also have several beer taps (excited to see what all they add) and a grand piano where they have a live pianist on certain evenings.
The Iron Man roll was one of my favorite rolls I’ve had in a long time along with an absolutely delicious Ginger Salad, Barbie Roll & Spicy Tuna Roll.
