I love this dance studio, it's classes, it's teachers, and the overall vibe Mary has created here! I recently completed the Fall Beginner 6 week course which is a MUST for anyone who is starting their shuffle journey because you get a well thought out program taught by two experienced teachers, Mary and Brea, who are able to take the same group of students through 6 weeks of 2 hour classes and progress to a point where you have several beginner moves cemented into your muscle memory, get comfortable transitioning from move to move, and improve your flow and speed to the point where you can learn a choreographed routine. Although I had taken several beginner classes before, the consistency of this program really took me to a new level where I feel comfortable taking shuffling out to the dance floor. Although I always left the class drenched and feeling challenged I also always felt comfortable to ask questions and had plenty of individual attention. The classes were super fun and left everyone with big smiles coming back for more! I'm definitely addicted to a point that I want to be a part of this fun and talented shuffle family every week! This studio is just the best. Mary is not only an extremely talented dancer, but she takes her intricate and creative choreos and breaks them down so everyone in class gets them. She makes everyone feel so comfortable, and I always leave class feeling good and excited about what I learned. I take these classes virtually every week from Florida via Zoom, and Mary always makes sure I get the full experience like I would in person. I visited LA last month, and it was obviously even better in person. I took shuffling and vogue classes, and I highly recommend both!! The studio itself is beautiful, clean and spacious with awesome lighting for videos. If you live in LA and are looking for dance classes that are fun and challenging and will truly make you a better dancer, don't hesitate to book a class with Mary or any of the other teachers there! Mary Grace and Brea's program/course and all classes for beginners are superb!
