First of all, this place was way more of a dream than we could have ever imagined it. From the almost floor-to-ceiling windows to the exposed brick and slate concrete to the deep hardwood floors, there's so much inspiration and so much room to play. What is truly unique about The Brockman Lofts is that it combines the industrial, the intimate, and the luxury in a way that no other downtown loft does.
Second of all, the staff is exceptional especially Mike Mckenna who goes above and beyond to make us feel supported and tended to. Any subpar review that I read before moving in was regarding old mgmt. The regime change is immediately apparent as the current staff (lobby greeters, security, valet team, maintenance, etc) are all warm and professional, which is a special combination. When you call maintenance for a work order, for example, there is an immediate response. The same goes for the 24 hour valet team for your car (there is a number you text before you come downstairs) and the security team. There is always someone at the front door in the lobby which is important in DTLA. Before moving in, I visited just shy of 20 lofts in downtown, from the luxurious to the rustic. The Brockman Lofts was in my top 2, but after moving in, it proved to be number 1.
My only critique would be that the pool and gym areas are subpar in comparison to the building's aesthetics as well as other buildings I have visited. I know there is a plan in place to upgrade and I look forward to that day. Nonetheless, there are bigger gyms & pools downtown within a block away and tbh most people don't even use their own building's amenities.

Read moreI've been living here at the Brockman Lofts for over 10 years now. The units are absolutely beautiful. The best looking you can find in Downtown Los Angeles, for sure. We have plenty of amenities too even though I rarely use any of them except the rooftop barbeque area. My neighbors are all really cool people. Quiet and peaceful all around. But I am writing this review to seriously praise the new staff (new since 2-3 years ago). Honestly, if I were to write a review 5 years ago my review would have been very different than what I am about to write today. And that is all because of the new staff they brought in.
Mike McKenna is an absolute dream. He is the nicest guy you will ever encounter. He is genuine and he actually cares about the tenants (100%). He goes above and beyond to make sure any issues you have are resolved and resolved quickly. And since he came along things have changed significantly at the Brockman. I almost feel like I am living at a luxury resort. That's how Mike makes you feel. Truth be told, I can write all day about Mike and all the things he does to make sure everything is perfect but I am going to stop here because I think you get the point.
Our maintenance technician, Vincent is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet—always with a smile on his face. Professional, clean, and very knowledgeable. Vincent will take care of any issues you have at such speeds that he will shock you. He works very clean and he's great with pets. He really knows what he's doing and will go out of his way to make sure your maintenance issue is taken care of whenever they come up.

Read moreI filled out an application and paid the application fee and also $500 deposit, shortly there after I was contacted by the leasing office by Victor and told my application was rejected and that my deposit will be refunded ASAP. The next day my application was approved on another apartment in downtown . I expressed the urgency of having my deposit returned in a timely manner to help me with my move to my new apartment.since then I have been receiving application rejection letters , 3 if I’m not mistaken within 3 weeks and despite my numerous pleas to have my $500 deposit returned to me in a timely manner I still have NOT received it. I need that money and it has caused and continues to cause hardship because of Brochman Lofts lack of due due diligence. I have wrote multiple emails and phone calls and text messages with no adequate response, I did not expect this lack of respect and care from this company and am great full that I only had to deal with you guys just once and that’s enough for a life time.
