Cursive New York — Local services in New York

I have been following Cursive around New York since they had their shop at ABC Home near Union Square years ago. My last trip they were in Grand Central Station and I had to buy another bag to get the wonderful items I bought home to Michigan with me. The week after my trip, Covid hit and lockdowns started. Unfortunately, I have not been able to schedule a trip back to New York since. I still manage to follow Cursive and Cursive Home via Instagram and have managed to purchase many items long distance and Michael has shipped them lovingly and securely. Michael is a lovely man and I know any staff he would hire would be up to his standards of customer care. I am looking forward to getting regular trips to New York going again and Cursive will be on my list of stops once that happens. Until then I will enjoy the posts of their special-can’t-find-anywhere-else products-with-an-eye-for-design and purchase with a phone call. Thank you guys and keep up...

I was just shopping with my family in this store and we were excited to buy some New York ornaments since they are visiting from out of town. One ornament fell off the hook and they wanted to charge us for the full price of ornament although the hooks were very dainty. The ornament breaking was not our fault and I would appreciated some understanding on their behalf. I decided to buy another ornament to make up for it because money is of no issue but they were super rude in the handling of this issue. Didn’t even want to wrap my ornament up. I bought the ornament and the broken ornament and they were still incredibly rude. I will not be returning.

To the owner - hire a more holiday / kind spirited team. We spent $50 at your store between the 3 of us and your employees left a bad taste...

I know it's in Grand Central, but this place is hilariously overpriced. Its only use should be if you are in Grand Central and need a gift like a card (Papayrus is cheaper) and an enormous candle and can't make another stop. The employees also talk to me like I'm stealing. The store is tiny. I know you can see me. Don't worry about it. Horrible experience (and yet I've been a couple of times because my old job was connected to the terminal).
