The 2-way zipper pull tabs on my favorite coat fell off, so I took my coat from one highly recommended place to another, only to be told every time that the entire zipper needed to be replaced. I knew this couldn't be true bc the zipper still worked fine, just wouldn't stay on the end when unzipped. (And then I eventually lost the tabs while carrying the coat around town.)

Finally I contacted the original coat manufacturer who was also very helpful and referred me to Panda. I made it there today and Herman the Zipper Master replaced the tabs in about 90 seconds and made sure the double tabs zipped and stopped properly in both directions. Everyone there was lovely, helpful, prompt (had responded to my email within half an hour when I wasn't sure if they would be open by the time I could get to them today), and I'm thrilled to have my coat wearable again! Unpleasant experience. Price never transparent and customer service is terrible. Today I am trying to buy a basic zipper for my project. There was no price listed anywhere and when I brought it to the counter, the cashier (a middle age hispanic man) looked at me for a second and decided the price to be $2. I later went to its website and checked that it was listed as $1.50. If it is actually priced at $2 I wouldn't mind at all. What I don't understand is why the cashier is deciding the price on his own and upcharges me like this? This is not the first time I have this problem with this cashier. Last time he charged me $5 for a French curve that is listed $4.50 on its website. Whoever manages this place should check on their cashiers and make sure in person purchases have the same price transparency as...
