Walked in for a few celebratory glasses of wine because my fiancé is a certified wine nerd so naturally when I heard of a new wine bar I wanted to take him. Upon arrival, staff was very… cold. No res but they said they could seat us in 10-15 which was totally fine. As we were waiting my fiancé complimented me and took a candid photo of me while we were sitting/taking in the space. Immediately a host came up to us saying we can’t take “selfies” as they have professional photo shoots there. Odd, because everyone (and I mean everyone) was taking pictures in every room. Not to mention after we left I checked social media and it’s riddled with people taking photos/videos in the space. Listen to the other reviews, they’re nice/cater to certain individuals, not everyone. Although a beautiful atmosphere is great, amazing hospitality is even better. It’s not all about ambiance, feeling welcomed paired with an incredible experience, is what keeps people coming back for more. Luckily we didn’t spend a dime, don’t make the same mistake I did… do what you will with that...

While casually browsing and taking a few pictures, a white staff member rudely told us to stop, which we immediately complied with, apologizing and returning to our seats. However, when other patrons arrived—none of whom were people of color—they were allowed to take pictures without any issue. It was clear that we were treated differently. Despite having made a reservation and ordered drinks, we felt unwelcome and singled out. This experience was uncomfortable and felt overtly discriminatory. If you're not white, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that treats all customers equally. Also, how come you don’t let us take pictures but all the reviews below have pictures taken by the people? Stop it....
