STUDIOUS TOKYO NEW YORK — Local services in New York

Launched only a week ago this Japanese menswear space is sure to please the fashion aesthete. Prior to entering, a crisp white ‘noren’ emblazoned with STUDIOUS TOKYO flutters in the wind and pays homage to many traditional Japanese businesses. The overall clean industrial design is tempered by the sublime tatami-lined dressing rooms (yes, shoes are to be removed prior to entering). Undercover, Attachment, Kenzo, Needles, N. Hoolywood, White Mountaineering and Porter were brands that I immediately recognised among the highly curated selections. Hajime-san hosted me and couldn’t be more gracious and helpful.
