Tl;dr: ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.
I am a value HOUND. I need to know I am spending my money well and intentionally because I struggle with investing in my own self-care! So, when I tell you this place is truly worth your money, I mean it.
I walked in on a Friday for a 90 min massage that had free cupping included. I deeply appreciated that my masseuse (her name was Bo-bo) asked me a few minutes in how the pressure was and if there were any particular spots I'd like her to pay attention to. She checked in with me a few more times, too. She REALLY got in there with those deep, pesky knots I have. It definitely hurt, but it was so effective.
Also, I've never been cupped. She told me if it hurt too much to let her know. It DID hurt - kind of like a pinched skin feeling, but the RELEASE I feel throughout my back yesterday and today has been incredible. So, I didn't speak up because I was fine with figuring out if cupping did anything for me, but I'm sure if you were uncomfortable, they could adjust for you.
Ultimately, the cost was $90 for 90 min and I tipped her $45. Regardless of whatever the price is, please remember these folks are working on you with their BODY and work hard. If they did a good job and you have the means, please tip them well.
(Note: do be prepared that it's not a luxurious space. I felt happy with the cleanliness and ambiance overall :)
All in all, great experience! Will be back...

As a former professional dancer turned choreographer, I have relied on Lia's excellent skills as a massage therapist to keep my body moving. Her strength and attention to detail have not only provided relief from muscle discomfort. But she has also helped me recover from several injuries over the past 7 years, allowing me to continue doing my job. And when Lia has been unavailable, Michelle has been an excellent backup.
This location is much newer and nice than their previous location. And their prices are very affordable for artists like me. Since changing locations, they have also added cupping to their offerings. This has been a great perk for me, as I am a big fan of eastern medicine practices.
I strongly recommend this place whether you are looking for a relaxing massage or for relief from...

Part of me doesnāt even want to share but I also want them to succeed at their new location.
This spa was previously located on Steinway in Astoria as Xiao Wellness. Iāve been a proud patron for almost 5 years!!! š„³
Lia (who is also the owner) is hands down one of my favorite masseuseās ever. I dare you to ask for a hard massage from her! She has some of the strongest hands ever! Iām big guy and weigh about 240 and she has made me tap out many times. š I do a lot of heavy weight training and she digs and destroys every knot that I may have. She is phenomenal at her craft.
If you are an athlete and love deep tissue massages, then Lia has you covered. Your muscles will thank you.
If you prefer a more gentle approach, I would recommend Michelle. She is also a fantastic masseuse and my wife usually goes with her.
Please remember to keep our hidden gem a secret.š¤ I donāt want to have to book 2 days...
