For those who have been affected by the criminal justice system that want to turn their lives around, this is a great place to do it. I was impressed the first day I got there. They have a job readiness program that I can't even describe how encouraging and enlightening it was for me. Almost everyone of the staffv has also been affected by the Justice system and Fortune Society gave them the chance to turn their lives around and they are great people. Smart. Attentive. They will help you if you really want to help yourself. I can't say enough about what a difference it is making for me. I really had some difficult times in my life and felt like no one would ever give me a chance again until I heard about Fortune. The three week job readiness workshop that Robert Weinstein did opened my eyes to the possibilities in front of me. I am truly grateful for all the staff and the opportunity to be part of my own change in direction. I've never looked back. Fresh out of serving five years in prison, I had no place to call home. Fortune became my go to place. Not a day went by that I didn’t have an urging desire to go to my “safe space”. After completing the necessary programming workshop (Job Readiness, through Employment Services) I was enabled to change my mindset & equipped with the necessary tools to combat unemployment, educational needs & other personal necessities. Fortune gave me a chance that I’ll never forget. The impracticalities behind not receiving a 5-star rating only come from “not being able to enjoy the sweet, without the bitter” & in all aspects The Fortune Society deserves a 6th star for its quality when providing services.

Absolutely amazing place with amazing staff. People here genuinely want to see you win in life, and they provide an abundance of resources for you to do just that. From job readiness training, help with resumes ,and training in construction, social services, GED and many many more .

Fortune society is a most valuable asset to anyone who's previously been incarcerated or who has been involved with the justice system .they also provide rehabilitation programs and help people find training and work in their desired fields
