My friends and I reserved a table for dinner. We work in restaurants ourselves and were ecstatic to try somewhere new. The ambience was beautiful and our food was delicious! We enjoyed our meals. However, the service was disappointing, and very offensive because we noticed she treated every other table completely different than ours, literally the one right next to us. She seemed rushed, annoyed, and almost suspicious of our presence. We asked for more bread in the beginning of our meal, and ended up having to ask at least 5-6 times more, a few times to our personal server, and once to 3 different servers (we expected to pay for the extra, that was not an issue) but each time was met with a look of confusion, and it didn’t come till the very end when we were about to leave, and wasn’t the full set up we had received before and requested. We ordered another round of drinks, and asked to have them put on a separate ticket, which made our server roll her eyes. Quite a bit of time passed and she came back with the wrong drink, but we didn’t mention it because we figured she was busy. But when asked to fix an issue with the ticket, she seemed frustrated because she thought we had miscommunicated, she was very confused and visibly annoyed. We nicely explained what we were asking SEVERAL times and she shook her head, sighed, and rushed off. Nothing we asked should have ever been such an annoyance. My friend and I both serve in fine dining, and never have shown such stress and annoyance with a table who was so simple, because we get how hard it is!! She dropped our tickets, didn’t ask how everything was or if we needed anything else, just quickly rushed off. Overall, we understand she was probably stressed, but it seemed to only be with our table, even though we had ONE request, which was more bread, and asked for another round of drinks, which took forever and didn’t come back correct. And on top, were met with annoyance, and we felt very uncomfortable throughout our visit. Her tone and attitude were off with us from the start. Maybe it was just an off night for her. But it all came off as very classist and rude. I never leave reviews, it’s never a big deal to me. I only leave this review because of the distinct difference in how my friends and I were treated compared to her...
Read moreUPDATED UPDATE REVIEW… I called well in advance to make a reservation for tea. I told the young lady that I would like tea for 3 on Wednesday at noon. She said okay and made the reservation. My party arrives to be told they don’t serve tea on Wednesdays and they don’t even have anything for tea to offer us. This is the third time Tellers has messed up. I will not be returning. I am very disappointed, yet again.
UPDATED REVIEW… To be completely transparent the following updated review is from a meal that was completely complementary. That being said I will be fully honest in my review, as always.
We were lucky enough to have the same server as last time, William! He is wonderful and very attentive. We ordered the same appetizer, meatballs with polenta, fantastic. For our main course, I again had the Lobster Ravioli and this time my husband had the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe with Chicken. Our main course experience was vastly different from the first. Not sure the exact reason but it was. More lobster, fuller ravioli, more sauce and the pasta my husband had was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The chicken tasted smoked and had plenty of seasoning. This time we didn’t skip dessert, we devoured the cheesecake with raspberry sauce! Overall our entire experience was much more light, FUN and delicious! Thank you Tellers for making things right. We WILL be returning in the future. Also, please see new picture of Ravioli for comparison.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: We really wanted to like it. We came here for a special occasion and we were sat in a very tight section with another couple that wasn’t very private. Service was good but nothing special was done to acknowledge our special occasion accept for by the hostess, atmosphere was pleasant and food was mediocre, unfortunately. The food lacked seasoning and just all around flavor. We were very disappointed as it was nothing special and portions were fine. The appetizer was better than our main meal. We skipped dessert as we were already put off by the main course. Unless changes are made, we will unfortunately not be returning. There are much better options in the city for the dining experience you would...
Read more✨ Five-Star Dining Experience at Tellers OKC! ✨ Let me tell you, this meal was absolutely divine! Dining in the beautifully restored First National Center, OKC's first skyscraper and a landmark building with so much history, made the experience even more special. Our amazing server, Summer, recommended we take a look around downstairs, and we were blown away! We actually got to see and walk inside a real bank vault – how cool is that?! Upstairs in the restaurant itself, they've even preserved the original teller windows, adding such a unique and charming touch. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable (shoutout to Summer!), and the ambiance was just perfect.
My love, hubby Orlando, and I started with the flavorful Italian Meatballs and the comforting Tomato Basil Soup – both incredible! But the real star of the show? The Pork Chop alla Cacciatore. Juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection, it was hands-down the best pork chop I've ever had. The tomato mushroom ragout, polenta, and cavolo nero complemented it beautifully. Orlando had the Short Rib Rigatoni Al Forno, and while the flavor was outstanding, we did feel it could have used a bit more meat. We were so pleased that the restaurant graciously acknowledged this and removed the charge from our ticket – excellent customer service! To top it all off, the Tiramisu was a dream – a sweet ending to a perfect meal. And don't forget the drinks! The Tom Collins and Mai Oh My Zero Proof were expertly crafted and refreshing OG. I had the Coffee with Steamed Milk during dinner and the English Breakfast Tea with Steamed Milk afterwards.
Plus, they offer a military discount, which is always appreciated!
Highly recommend Tellers OKC for a truly special dining experience in a truly iconic and historic setting.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
