This is a little late in posting.. however, I wandered into Le Labo, SF on the last day of Sept 2023. The place was busy! I didn't know that it was the last day to purchase other city exclusives. My friend and I wandered around the small shop and tested things. The staff was amazing! They were clearly busy but took their time to give us enough space to make decisions, but be available to answer questions.
My friend was looking to match an old scent. I don't wear fragrances. I was not looking to purchace anything. However, after spending about one hour there, I walked away with Shanghi- Myrrhe 55 in a very large refillable size year round. I do not regret it one bit. It was not an impulse purchase. Some may get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the store, or the exclusivity of the event and getting it on the last day. It was because the staff took their time to educate me on the different scents, the products, etc. They did not push me to purchase anything. They do not work on commission.
The team at Le Labo, SF is kind, friendly, unpretentious, and educated about their products and lines. I smell AMAZING! It is transformative to find your fragrance. People compliment me. (I thought that I would want something lighter like- Seoul Citron 28, however, Myrrhe 55 has a much deeper depth and soul to it.)
Of note... my friend couldn't decide, so she purchased a few samples and recently in April 2024 "treated" herself to Tea Noir 29. She received so many compliments from it over the six months. She knew that it was "her" scent. She has no regrets either...
Forever changed on the "hype" of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is not about Le Labo Products - it is about the customer service at the Fillmore location. On July 4th I entered this boutique in hopes to learn more about the Vetiver collection from Le Labo, which I mentioned to the employees when I came in. The two sales people in the store couldnāt have been less interested in assisting me. There was not one point they stepped out from behind the counter to show me products. There was no one else in the store besides my partner and I. I had to repeatedly come to them for questions and break their conversation to each other about other customers before me. When they did respond their answers were short and stale. I eventually gave up and I let myself explore around the store where I very much enjoyed the testers I was experiencing. I was going to purchase the Vetiver Fragrance as well as the body lotion but due to the unsettling experience the mood was not right for me to hand over $250 to them. I am by no means the type of person that feels entitled when I shop. I work in retail and I understand customer service dynamics. I do not know if it is the style for Le Laboās Service approach to act indifferent with customers or if this was just the employees, but regardless, the atmosphere was very unwelcoming. It felt as if I was intruding in someone elseās home. I ran into a friend of mine who works in Fillmore that afternoon and I mentioned my experience and he told me the same encounters happened to him on more than one occasion and he decided not to pursue a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe most exquisite scents imaginable. This is not cookie cutter cosmetics. There are four stores selling fragrances within three blocks on Fillmore. Out of the four only two are reputable, out of those two Le Labo ( if youāre going for a scent sensation ) is best. The selection is limited to I believe twelve scents , however they have the ability to make a scent specific to your needs/wants/wishes etc. Iām a vetiver man, and Le Laboās is great ! Lastly. I had a friend-visiting recently ( staying at the Fairmount ) . We had dinner , then she went up to shower . All of the complimentary lotions, shampoo, conditioner etc. were Le Labo. The next day she went to the store on Fillmore , and stocked up. She said it wasnāt cheap, but it was unique, ( in a very , very good way ) and a great find . This is NOT a solicited...
