This was an excellent tour. Not only do you get to taste the southern food but you get a history lesson and a great lay of the historic district and river front. Actually you get more than a taste of, you will leave completely full. Do not I repeat do not eat before this tour. The samples are more than a bite plus you can buy libations along the way. I really liked that our tour guide was so laid back. We never felt rushed. There was plenty of time to enjoy each stop and she always let us know if a bathroom break was coming up soon or not. lol I highly recommend doing this tour the first couple of days of your trip. Our guide Bec (Rebecca) was fantastic! She was helpful, kind and informative. The pacing of the tour was great. There was a balance between walking, sitting and eating! I didn't feel rushed and it didn't drag. We enjoyed learning about some Savannah history and sampling some local food items. While everything was delicious, highlights include the sausage pies from the Crown and the She crab soup from the Rhett! We also loved the sampling of honeycomb on the apple with cheese. We ended up buying some cheese straws and Stuckey pecans. What a delightful way to kick off our stay...

Although the history was there for our tour the food however, was not. They tell you to not eat heavy before the tour in the instructions. There were 6 places and each place you get two tiny bites of something and most of it didn’t have protein. Nothing to fill your stomach. I’ve never left a food tour so starving. We left feeling cheated. My husband and I honestly felt like we were stolen from. One giant scam. At least rename the tour as a history tour with a spoon food of flavor along the way, that would have been...
