During a day trip to Savannah, GA, we discovered Flock to the Wok, a stylish Asian restaurant that specializes in meat and seafood wok dishes, dumplings, noodles, and fried rice. This place exceeded our expectations and left us thoroughly impressed with its delightful offerings.
The ambiance at Flock to the Wok is chic and inviting, creating a perfect setting for an enjoyable dining experience. The decor is modern yet cozy, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions.
It was my first time trying soup dumplings, and I couldn't get enough of them. The dumplings were perfectly crafted, with a delicate wrapper encasing a flavorful and rich broth along with tender meat. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left me wanting more.
My partner ordered the fried rice with sesame chicken, and it was equally delightful. The fried rice was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked, while the sesame chicken had a wonderful balance of sweetness and tanginess. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impeccable.
As a self-proclaimed egg drop soup aficionado, I was particularly excited to try their version. I am a very picky eater when it comes to egg drop soup, and I give every place one shot to impress me. Flock to the Wok did not disappoint. The egg drop soup was to die for, with the perfect consistency and flavor that surpassed my expectations. Itâs my favorite soup, and this place did it amazingly well.
The menu at Flock to the Wok offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients are evident in every dish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had a great dining experience. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made us feel welcome throughout our visit.
Flock to the Wok is a culinary gem in Savannah. Whether you're a fan of Asian cuisine or looking to try something new, this restaurant delivers exceptional flavors and a memorable dining experience.    Read moreFlock to the Wok in downtown Savannah has quickly become my absolute favorite spot for solo dates and quick take out. I have to admit, I was really hesitant at first because, as someone who is severely allergic to nuts, I know that many Asian restaurants use nuts or nut products in their dishes. But from the moment I walked in, the staff put my mind at ease. They were so attentive, making sure all of the dishes I ordered were safe for me to eat, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.
The food is absolutely delicious! The first time I went, I ordered the sesame chicken with a side of rice, and we also tried the coconut shrimp. When I say I was blown away by the flavor, I mean itâthereâs just something about their food thatâs so tasty, and the portion sizes are really good. We ended up ordering multiple different items, and every single dish was packed with flavor. I still canât get over how good the sesame chicken wasâitâs now my go-to order.
On top of the amazing food, the customer service at Flock to the Wok is top-notch. The waiters are incredibly nice and always make sure youâre taken care of, which really adds to the overall experience. The restaurant itself might look small from the outside, but itâs surprisingly spacious inside, with enough room to accommodate a good number of people. Itâs always busy, which is a testament to how good it is, but even when itâs packed, thereâs still seating available.
And for all the TikTok and Instagram lovers out there, theyâve got those viral soup dumplings that come in the cutest little basket. Not only are they delicious, but theyâre also perfect for snapping photos or adding to your Instagram story.
Whether youâre looking for a place to enjoy a solo date, a fun night out, or just some amazing takeout, I definitely recommend Flock to the Wok. Itâs a hidden new gem in Savannah, and I canât wait to go back!

This was our second time visiting this place. We had a good experience the first time, so when we revisited Savannah, we decided to go there again (this time with a larger group).
Overall the service and food were good. But when we tried to order some dishes with crispy rice, we were told they were no longer making crispy rice as that was too complicated to make. This was pretty disappointing.
One other issue we encountered was on the check. As we were a party of 6, a 20% tip was added automatically (normally most restaurants add only 18%), which we totally understood. BUT, the way it was added was very deceptive and it was not explained to us. The 20% tip got added as a food item (labeled âParty of 6â). Because it was listed as a food item, sales tax also applied to it (never seen any restaurant do it this way).
On the bottom of the check, there was a âSuggested Gratuityâ section, suggesting 18%, 20%, or 22% tip amounts. Although they were calculated based on the pre-tip total, the total amount shown included the mandatory âParty of 6â 20% tip. This is very deceptive and if you donât double-check your bill, you would double the tip. This was not clear or explained to us. But after our server noticed it took us a long time to read and understand the bill, she sort of acknowledged the bottom section (suggested new final amounts) was not correct. So it showed she/they know there is an issue.
In the end, we probably paid $1.50 extra on tax due to our mandatory 20% tip ($21.52) being charged tax. This is a very bad way to automatically add tips and the system should be corrected.
All billing issues aside (but that was major!), the food and service were good. If the billing calculation could be explained up front to us when the check was brought to us, we would be totally cool with it. But it wasnât, so thatâs why Iâm only...
