I applied for the casa Pacifica apartments and was denied due to the manager Chong Han not following up with my HR department to confirm my income after I provided him the email as well as th ext to reach my HR department. I earn less than what the apartment maxmium income limit is and he could of easily found out if he did his job and verified with my HR. All he could say is oops I'm sorry this is my fault. Now me and my 16 month old daughter are going to be homeless because I gave my notice to my current residence. He told me my application was accepted and I knew housing would accept the apartment after the inspection passed which it did but the end Chong tells me I got denied because my income was not verified. which is apart of his job requirements to follow up to verify all information submitted. He addmited to me it is his fault. But it started bad with Chong from the beginning I was skipped in line on Seattle housing policy that says first come first serve for qualified applicants. Once I told him I'm filing a Seattle office of civil rights complaint he said I was next in line again so I knew from the beginning this guy was trouble. Once I got denied I was not given the 72 hours they allow to give the correct information Chong should have acquired. When my case manager from housing called Chong to request my least kit he yelled at her and had an attitude for no reason at all just cause she asked him to send the necessary documents for the inspection to be set up. I asked for a appeal and was told by Chong Han and his direct supervisor Veronica Redstone that I am not entitled to have an appeal. I filed on anyway along with a grievance and then was later told by Chong that "upper management" said they will accept my appeal. That is discrimination, to tell one person they are not allowed to what policy states is apart of the process is not good for business or our community. His direct supervisor Veronica Redstone was also not concerned with anything I was telling her as if I was less human . I filed a complaint with Seattle office of civil rights and am going to file a H.U.D complaint next because this is not how you handle a perspective tenant. The level of disrespect along with being lied to and having to deal with incompetent management was very stressing and I suggest if you are dealing with bellweather to keep all documents possible and if you feel anything uncomfortable with the process to follow up with Seattle office of civil rights because your gut feeling is probably right. The people here and at bellweather who I mentioned are not able to provide the basic general job responsibilities they are put in place for. I hope if you read this to take the word of a student of law and urban development that this place is apart of the Problem and not the solution. File your complaint and post your review so that this kind of stuff does not happen and we improve our community and the people working to better serve it. I will update my review as I continue through my appeal because to be honest I'm concerned there is something fishy about that too now. Thanks Chong Han , Veronica Redstone and bellweather housing compliance department for making me and my daughter homeless after I was told I was...
Read moreWe've been living in our apartment for 4 years and it was nice, no problems with the management at all until Bellwether took over in 2021 and it was very disappointing. It's cringey to know that they are so proud of getting more and more unit yet the quality of their service is very low. Small things I did not mind is how the manager in Arbora Court will make an appointment to see you and will show up 30minutes later, and when she showed up she said "oh the paper is not ready yet, you have to come back". She makes other appointment she doesn't keep. It gives me a feeling that the management treat you like your time is not valuable. Very unorganized and unprofessional. She was also slow to move us to another unit due to accommodation request, took her 4 months. And she still have not given us our security deposit, it's been 9 months.
Bellwether needs to train better their site managers. Anyway, the thing that really made me so distrustful of the management is when we informed them of a flea infestation (we don't have pets). We all get bitten including my 1 year old baby. We know it came from the new neighbor next door when they use our bathroom when they locked themselves out. Other neighbors have pets too but never in my life we had flea problem until this neighbor moved in. Anyways, we informed Bellwether of the infestation March 1st but we never get a successful flea treatment until last week of April (more than a month after we report it). And I had to be on the phone with the manager to make sure it happens because it was the fifth attempt (2 times Bellwether showed on different day as scheduled and 2 times they did not show up.) And there is suppose to be a follow up treatment after 2 weeks but they never follow up. We took the issue with the Portfolio Manager because at this point is is very hard to contact the site manager (no one answers the phone, no one gets back to emails and no one gets back to my maintenance request). The Portfolio Manager basically said not to contact her. We are stuck. Not the kind of service I expect from a company who says their passion is to help people. You are not helping me and my family. You are hurting us. You are not making our home livable. Flea infestation is a health risk. Bellwether, is it too much to ask not to be eaten alive in my own home? And oh, they don't take complaints or grievances seriously. We filed 3 formal grievances, they were...
Read moreI feel very overwhelmed ,fustrated and sad I qaulify as a low income resident to move into an apartment through Bellwether Housing I was referred to someone that I applied through ,but my complaint is how the application is to be filled out very long extensive and overwhelming and I now feel that you have to have a College degree and be super tech smart to have it filled out correctly there is a lot of digging into your financial buisness and history of other buisness I do not understand has any reason of relation to the application process. There is a process that has you come in and do and complete the application with someone who works with company to make sure you understand how to fill out the application and that it is done right this is also when you bring in all required documents. On doing this process myself I was on the list to move into the Cedar crossing in July ,I was told June the end of May at the beggining but during my in person application process the date was kicked down to July so still moving forward I did the application with one of the employees they went over it had me make the corrections that needed to be made then the person I was doing my application with even had her lead or supervior go over the application that was not acceptable so she gave instructions to the peprson that was doing the application with me I made the nessesary corrections to the application it was reviewd again by the same person in charge and everything was correct this process was over an hour. A few days later I get a call from the women who is the person thats in charge of the housing I assume because upon applying she is who I went through hower when she contacted me she claimed I didnt do my application correct and wanted to know why certain spots. Were done on the application and I explained in fustration that i was instructed by the persons over seeing the application process to do the area she questioned about. So I sincerly appoligised for the mistake and my tone of fustration. I made the corrections and sent my application back thourgh email ,that is not easy to do the Adobe document because I am not tech savy. She emailed me back saying thank you and that my applicaton was complete and everything looked good. On April 31st I saw an email from her stating that my application still was not complete with some overwhelming for me to do and have sent back...
