I was here yesterday for myself and my mom and everyone was fantastic! Marcus F cut both my hair and my moms hair. We both had an amazing experience! Marcus did a phenomenal job with my curly hair and allowed me to ask all my questions with a smile on his face and gave me excellent advice. He recommended both of us products and actually showed me how to style my hair with them. My hair has never looked so beautifully full and curly! I didn’t even recognize myself when he spun me around to look in the mirror, I put my glasses on and was in shock! His expertise was obvious and I feel so lucky to have been blessed with him cutting both my hair and my moms hair! He cut my hair 3 times to be extra thorough and tailored to each of my individual curls! I highly recommend Gene Juarez as everyone there was so lovely from the stylists and receptionists to the other clients around me! If you have the chance to have your haircut done by Marcus F I would highly recommend! I’ve never felt more comfortable at a hair appointment. His energy and confidence with handling hair made me comfortable and confident I was in good hands and I definitely was!...

Amanda cares about getting the details right, and by the sheer power of personality, she’ll also make the experience something you look forward to. Follicularly, you’ll just look better. Seth is a great colorist. He’ll make suggestions if he feels necessary, he listens to what you want (or you want to try), and we’ll collaborate together. He’s easy going and I like he keeps up with the news (smile), as I’m a news junkie. He’s both friendly and professional. Also, I like the lighting at their South Lake Union salon. What I see in the mirror jives with my mirrored lighting in my own bathroom, so there are no surprises. Parking is generally easy to snag a spot in front (street parking), depending on time of day, but I rarely encounter problems. The furthest I’ve ever had to park was a short 2-blocks away. While I miss the Pine Street location, which closed unexpectedly during the Pandemic, I was glad this Gene Juarez salon opened up and is very close to where I live.
